1ST ANNUAL YOUNG ARTISTS VIOLIN COMPETITION

Open to all students K–12. Winners will receive a new Snow Violin and appear in a Flushing
Town Hall recital. Registration fee: $25/FCCA Members $20. Application Deadline: January 5,

BUBBLES TO THE SURFACE: An experimental art festival featuring creative expressions from
the next generation of Queens artists

A new generation of Queens artists (6 artists under 30 years of age) takes charge in a youthful
coup d’etat of digital, performance and installation art.

Twenty of Queens’ youngest artists fill the Green Room with form, color and imagination.
Teachers are invited to submit student work to be juried for this show.

Your school is invited to celebrate National Jazz and Poetry Month, a weekend-long series of events
featuring extraordinary performances by leading jazz musicians and poets at Flushing Town Hall.
Young poets and musicians (students) are invited to read and play their favorite works during this celebration
