What the Testimony of Faith'There /There is no true god<br />
worthy uorthy of being betng worshipped except Allah and<br />
Muhammad is the Messenger ofAllah' Allah'entails:<br />
1. To believe in the Message of the <strong>Prophet</strong>. 6 and that he<br />
was sent to mankind at large; thus the Message of Islam is<br />
not restricted to a certain group of people or a period of<br />
time. Allah, the Exalted, says:<br />
(Blessed is He Who sent down the criterion to His<br />
slave that he may be a warner to mankind.) rnankind.) (25:1) 1zs:r;<br />
2. To believe that the <strong>Prophet</strong> • 6 is infallible in matters<br />
pertaining to the Deen. Allah, the Exalted, says:<br />
(Nor does he speak of his own desire. It is only a<br />
revelationrevealed.) revealed.) (27:3-4) 1zz:e-l;<br />
As for worldly affairs, the <strong>Prophet</strong>. S was only human and<br />
would make Ijtihaad Iitihaad (Le. (i.e. exert his effort to reach a ruling) in<br />
that matter.<br />
The <strong>Prophet</strong>. 6 said:<br />
"You present your cases to me - some of you may be<br />
more eloquent and persuasive in presenting arguments<br />
than others. So, if I give someone's right to another<br />
(wrongly) because of the latter's (tricky) presentation of<br />
the case; I am giving him a piece of Fire; so he should<br />
not take it."<br />

He also said, in another narration:<br />
