Community<br />
Communities of the <strong>Snowy</strong> <strong>River</strong> have a great depth of culture and vibrance, but low populations result in<br />
too few people to run events that enrich local communities. Further opportunities to build on community<br />
activities include:<br />
• Sponsorship (especially for event coordinators) for the annual Dalgety <strong>Snowy</strong> <strong>River</strong> Festival and the Food<br />
and Wine Fair.<br />
• Support for community rivercare planning in order to build a common vision and activities to continue to<br />
guide river rehabilitation.<br />
• Production of a DVD or interactive web site which informs and engages the broader Australian (and<br />
overseas) community in the recovery of the <strong>Snowy</strong> <strong>River</strong>.<br />
