Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation of <strong>India</strong> Ltd. shortly known as <strong>TRIFED</strong><br />

is a national level organization under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of <strong>India</strong>, primarily<br />

engaged in the development and marketing of tribal handicrafts and natural products. The main<br />

mandate of <strong>TRIFED</strong> is capability enhancement of tribals, promotion of tribal products and<br />

creation of marketing opportunities for the tribals with a view to ensuring them remunerative<br />

prices for their products and augmenting their income on a sustainable basis. Towards<br />

attainment of this mandate, <strong>TRIFED</strong> is poised for expansion of retail operations for marketing of<br />

unique and ethnic tribal handicrafts and natural products in high end markets through a chain of<br />

retail outlets called “TRIBES <strong>India</strong> showrooms” across the country besides international<br />

marketing thereof and skill upgradation & capacity building of tribal artisans and gatherers of<br />

Minor Forest Produce. <strong>TRIFED</strong> is also being entrusted with the task of implementation of the<br />

proposed Central <strong>Government</strong>’s Minimum Support Price Scheme for selected Minor Forest<br />

Produce. The organization, with its Headquarters at New Delhi, operates through its 13<br />

Regional Offices and a wide network of Retail Outlets called “TRIBES <strong>India</strong>” located across the<br />

country, details thereof are given in <strong>TRIFED</strong>’s website: www.tribesindia.com. (expanding<br />

every year).<br />

In order to meet the challenging responsibilities, <strong>TRIFED</strong> is looking for dynamic, experienced<br />

and motivated candidates with the right attitude for serving tribal cause and who are willing to<br />

serve in the remotest parts of the country, for the following positions. The eligibility criteria and<br />

Educational Qualification and Experience: Master Degree in<br />

Management with specialization in finance stream or equivalent Post Graduate 2<br />

years full time Diploma in Management with specialization in finance stream;<br />

from recognized university/ institute or C.A./ICWA; or equivalent professional<br />

qualification ;from recognized university/ institute.<br />

Minimum 15 years’ experience in senior positions in organization(s) of repute in<br />

the area of finance & accounts.<br />

For Recruitment through deputation:<br />

Candidate(s) must be holding equivalent/analogous post/ pay scale in the<br />

the area of marketing/exports/merchandising of arts and crafts<br />

items/developments/agro-forest based value added products.<br />

For Recruitment through deputation:<br />

c) For HR Function personnel:<br />

Desirable Qualification: Masters’Degree in Management with specialization in<br />

Personnel stream or equivalent Post Graduate 2 years full time Diploma in<br />

Management with specialization in personnel stream or MSW equivalent degree;<br />

from recognized university/institute.<br />

Experience: Minimum 01 year experience in organization of repute in the areas<br />

of HR/Personnel and Administration.<br />

d) For Project Mode activities personnel:<br />

Desirable Qualification: Masters’Degree in Management/ Science/ Computer<br />

Science/Social work/Social Science/Economics/Fashion Technology/ Design<br />

recognized university/institute.<br />

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in reputed organizations/<br />

departments in the relevant field; preferably in the areas of<br />

marketing/exports/merchandising of arts & crafts items and agro-forest based<br />

value added products/socio-economic development projects/value addition<br />

projects computer operation/finance & accounts/personnel & administration.<br />

Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 (PB-1) with grade pay of Rs.1900/-. Other<br />

benefits as per <strong>TRIFED</strong>’s rules.<br />

Educational Qualification:<br />

Essential qualification: Graduate or equivalent qualification. Should have<br />

working knowledge of computers. For Jr.Accounts Assistant, Degree should be<br />

in Commerce.<br />

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in the relevant field.<br />

Other instructions & terms and conditions :-<br />

1. All candidates whether in Govt. service or in Govt. owned industrial or other similar<br />

organisations or in private employment, should submit their applications Online<br />

directly to <strong>TRIFED</strong> through its Website: www.tribesindia.com. Candidates who<br />

are employed in Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous bodies/<br />

Cooperative Societies and applying for appointment on direct recruitment basis, will<br />

have to produce No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview.<br />

2. Candidates applying for the posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 for appointment on deputation basis will<br />

also have to forward print out of the application through their employer alongwith the<br />

following information/documents, so as to reach the same on or before 17.12.2012 :-<br />

i. photocopies of the CR dossiers for the last 5 years duly attested by an officer<br />

not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent;<br />

ii. cadre clearance ;<br />

iii. current vigilance clearance report and integrity certificate;<br />

iv. list of major/minor penalties imposed on the officer, if any, during the last 10<br />

years.<br />

3. Closing date for submission of Online Application through the Website is 23.59 Hrs. on<br />

17.12.2012 after which the link will be disabled.<br />

4. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and<br />

summarily rejected.<br />

5. Date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the<br />

prescribed closing date for submission of online recruitment application.<br />

6. After submitting the Online Application, the candidates are not required to send<br />

any Document or Certificate or Print out of the Application initially to <strong>TRIFED</strong><br />

except those applying for on deputation basis for the posts at Sr.No.1&2.<br />

However, candidates called for Written-Test/Group Discussion/ Interview shall<br />

have to produce the original Documents/ Certificates and print out of the<br />

Application, duly signed, alongwith attested copies of such<br />

Documents/Certificates and passport size photograph, at the time of written<br />

test/interview. Therefore, candidates should essentially retain the print out of the<br />

Online Application. Candidates called for written test/interview should bring a<br />

valid identity proof.<br />

7. Method of selection :<br />

i) Selection of candidate(s) for the posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 will be done through<br />

interview to be conducted at Head Office of <strong>TRIFED</strong> at New Delhi;<br />

ii) Selection of candidates for the post at Sr.No.3 will be done through Written Testcum-Group<br />

Discussion followed by Interview to be conducted at <strong>TRIFED</strong>’s Head Office,<br />

New Delhi;<br />

iii) Selection of candidates for the posts at Sr.Nos.4 to 6 will be done through a<br />

Common Written Test to be conducted region-wise; at (i) Delhi (for Northern Region);<br />

(ii) Bhopal (for Central and Eastern Region), (iii) Guwahati (for North-Eastern Region),<br />

(iv) Mumbai (for Western Region), (v) Bangalore (for Southern Region). Candidates<br />

applying for these posts should indicate their choice of Centre for written test, in<br />

the application.<br />

8. No Travelling Allowance will be admissible for attending written test at the respective<br />

centres.<br />

9. Candidates shortlisted and called for Interview will be paid rail fare from the nearest<br />

Railway Station of the place indicated in the interview letter to the nearest Railway<br />

Station of the place of interview by the shortest route as per the rules of <strong>TRIFED</strong> i.e.<br />

A.C-III tier to & fro rail fare to candidate called for posts at Sr.No.1,2 & 3 and second<br />

class to & fro rail fare to the posts at Sr.No.4,5 & 6.<br />

10. Candidates shortlisted for Written Test/Written Test-cum-Group Discussion/Interview will<br />

be intimated by email about date, time and venue of written test/interview. While the<br />

Federation sent the print-out of the such email communication to respective candidates<br />

by post, but it can not take the responsibility for delivering the hard copy of the<br />

communication. Therefore, the candidates are advised to keep checking the status of<br />

their application from the website of <strong>TRIFED</strong>.<br />

11. Only <strong>India</strong>n Nationals are eligible to apply.<br />

12. All qualifications should be full-time regular course from University/Institute which are<br />

duly recognized by the competent authorities/Govt. .<br />

13. Reservation in recruitment for the candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories shall be<br />

applicable as per the Govt. of <strong>India</strong>’s instructions and guidelines.<br />

14. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC<br />

candidates. Additional relaxation of (a) 5 years for PH candidates is admissible for<br />

posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 i.e, relaxation in upper age limit will be by 5 years for General PH<br />

candidates, by 10 years for SC/ST PH candidates and by 8 years for OBC PH<br />

candidates.; and (b) 10 years for PH candidates is admissible for posts at Sr.No.3 to 6<br />

i.e, relaxation in upper age limit will be by 10 years for General PH candidates, by 15<br />

years for SC/ST PH candidates and by 13 years for OBC PH candidates.<br />

15. Depending on the requirement, <strong>TRIFED</strong> reserves the right to cancel/restrict/curtail/<br />

enlarge the number of vacancies, if needs so arise, without any further notice and<br />

without assigning any reasons thereof.<br />

16. Candidates must be willing to serve in the remotest parts of the country.<br />

17. Candidates to be appointed to the aforesaid post in <strong>TRIFED</strong> are liable to be transferred<br />

and posted at any place in <strong>India</strong> or abroad in the interest of the organization.<br />

18. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories will have to produce the original<br />

Certificate issued by the Competent Authority alongwith the attested copies, at the time<br />

of interview.<br />

19. While applying for any post, the applicant should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility<br />

and other norms mentioned above, as on the specified dates and that the particulars<br />

furnished are correct in all respects. In case, it is detected at any stage of recruitment<br />

that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any<br />

incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature<br />

will stand automatically cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s) is/are detected<br />

even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated without any notice.<br />

20. The mere fact that a candidate has submitted application against advertisement and<br />

apparently fulfilling the eligibility criteria as prescribed in the advertisement would not<br />

bestow on him/her the right to be called for Written Test/Written Test-cum-Group<br />

Discussion/ Interview and considered for further selection process.<br />

21. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification<br />

22. Any proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this<br />

advertisement and/or in application in response thereto can be instituted only in Delhi<br />

and Courts/Tribunals/Forums at Delhi only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to<br />

try such cause/dispute.<br />
