Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport. Our guide will meet you at the Arrivals
lounge and transfer you to a lovely lodge in the mountains where you
spend the night.
WEDNESDAY, 7 AUGUST 2013
Arusha National Park
We start our safari in the Arusha National Park with its spectacular
scenery, greenery, and unusual forest wildlife, hoping for great views of
Mount Kilimanjaro and its twin volcano, Mount Meru. We then drive
through the great African Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park,
where, time permitting, we enjoy an exciting late afternoon game drive,
searching for the many animals that live along the massive lakeshore.
THURSDAY, 8 AUGUST 2013
Ngorongoro Crater
Drive up the magnificent Ngorongoro escarpment to the Ngorongoro
Highlands. Descend rapidly into the famous Ngorongoro crater, home to
one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in the world.
Spend most of the day searching for the many animals that make this
unbroken caldera their home. Drive down the great escarpment onto the
great plains of Ngorongoro, where our Migrations tracking begins!

Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the Southern End of the
Serengeti Eco system, and although the migration herds have long left
this area by August, it is home to many resident species including
wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, and predators such as lion, cheetah and
leopard. As we move northwards in search of the herds, we look out for
some of these resident animals.
The Seronera Region of the central Serengeti is home to one of the
greatest concentrations of lion in the world!
We arrive at our lodge in the “Land of the Lion King” on time to prepare
for Shabbos.
SATURDAY, 10 AUGUST 2013
Serengeti
Enjoy a unique Shabbos at a lodge inside the Serengeti National Park,
where you have the chance of spotting animals from your balcony, the
lounge, or the outdoor areas of the hotel.
SUNDAY, 11 AUGUST 2013
Serengeti
Enjoy the day on safari in the Serengeti, looking out for lion, cheetah,
elephant, buffalo, hyena, giraffe, zebra, gazelles, migrating herds of
wildebeest, and many more indigenous species of wildlife.
The Serengeti is considered the world’s greatest safari region, and we
look forward to enjoying “The greatest wildlife show on Earth!”

Northern Serengeti
Today we explore the Northern Serengeti where the great migrations
often congregate at this time of the year, hoping to spot large migrating
herds of wildebeest and zebra, and some of the accompanying
predators.
Every game-drive is different, and nothing is predictable except the
excitement of the chase, and the incredible feeling when a sighting is
experienced!

Masai Mara
Drive to Kenya’s famous Masai Mara National Park, the Northern
extension of the Serengeti ecosystem, where you spend the afternoon
admiring the magnificent vistas of the Masai Mara River, the only
crossing for the hundreds of thousands of Wildebeest migrating to
Kenya in July/August in search of grazing.
The park is home to a huge variety of local game, including antelope,
zebra, giraffe, and, of course lions, hyenas and the rare and elusive
cheetah. Should we be lucky enough to be there at the right time, we
might just experience the thrill of a river crossing!
As dawn breaks over the Masai Mara, a gentle tap on your door will wake
you to the delights of yet another awesome day in the company of your
guide spending time in the midst of the massed herds.
Head off in search of the wildlife once again in the late afternoon.
THURSDAY, 15 AUGUST 2013
Masai Mara / Nairobi
This morning is our last chance to search for any of the species we
have not yet seen, and for a possible last-minute river-crossing on the
Mara Waterfront.
After lunch, drive or fly (optional extra) to Nairobi in time for your
international flight back home - with thoughts of this thrilling feast of
wildlife which will remain in your memory forever.
