Housekeeper<br />
Responsible for keeping the accommodation, offices and corridors and all<br />
associated areas clean and hygienic.<br />
The list of duties presented below is not exhaustive; it simply provides a brief indication of the typical duties of<br />
a <strong>Scout</strong>.<br />
<strong>Scout</strong>s are expected to:<br />
1. Work as part of the <strong>Housekeeping</strong> Services Team at St Peter's College to ensure a high standard of<br />
cleaning.<br />
2. Clean student accommodation, bathrooms, staircases, corridors, Fellows’ rooms and public areas to a high<br />
standard.<br />
3. Follow all Health & Safety requirements; relevant training and supervision will be provided.<br />
4. Provide daily clearance of residents’ waste bins and all communal and public areas.<br />
5. Provide room-cleaning, with some bed-making and linen changes for College Fellows and guests.<br />
6. Providing and maintaining a high standard of cleaning during College vacations, servicing conference<br />
guests and facilities<br />
7. Ensuring that equipment and cleaning materials are used responsibly and in compliance with College risk<br />
assessment and COSHH regulation.<br />
8. Identify and report maintenance issues.<br />
9. Check and replenish handtowels and toilet rolls.<br />
10. Any other duties as required.<br />
11. Use of carpet cleaning and floor polishing machine (training will be provided)

Shift Pattern – typically weekdays (Monday to Friday) mainly mornings some weekend work may occasionally<br />
be necessary.<br />
Salary will be £6.65 per hour plus benefits which include Uniform, Bus Pass, Pension Scheme and a generous<br />
holiday entitlement of 30 days per leave year in addition to Bank holidays.<br />
