History of the school name and/or community:<br />
<strong>Jacob</strong> L. <strong>Adams</strong> Elementary School is named for Dr.<br />
<strong>Jacob</strong> L. <strong>Adams</strong>, a prominent local dentist, who was a<br />
member of the School Board from 1945-1963. <strong>Jacob</strong> L.<br />
<strong>Adams</strong> Elementary School was opened in the fall of 1967<br />
for grades 1-6. Dedication services were held on May 19,<br />
1968.
