Wax-bulb actuator
The TCA (D355…630mm) can be equipped with a waxbulb
actuator. Neither auxiliary energy nor dedicated
control system are needed.
The actuator position changes according to the
temperature of supply air.
When warm air is supplied at a temperature up
to 18°C, the wax bulb actuator piston moves
progressively until the conical central core is at the
low position. The supply air pattern is vertical compact
jet.
The cycle for movement between extreme positions
takes 10 to 20 minutes.
When cold air is supplied, the conical central cone
is returned back by springs to the upper position for
horizontal radial jet function.
The operation range of the wax-bulb actuator is
between 18°C and 32°C.
No maintenance is required for the wax-bulb actuator.
