Background – ST2 Implementation Plan
• 4 Easements from BNSF
– October 2013 (first) – adds 1 train using existing equipment
– Q4 2016 (second and third) – adds 1 train w/ new equipment
– Q4 2017 (fourth) – adds 1 trip using existing equipment
• New Equipment
– Three new Locomotive (ordered in 2011, delivered in 2013)
– 18 passenger cars added in ST2 Plan
• 10 for the 4 easements
• 8 for platform extension – project postponed

Procurement Strategy
• Named party in UTA’s 2008 procurement
• New Mexico Rail Runner, DART Trinity Railway Express,
San Joaquin-Altamont Commuter Express and Caltrain also
participated
• UTA contract deadline to exercise options
