AP Biology Summer Assignment
Due Date: Friday, August 30, 2013.
***No late assignments will be accepted.
Directions:
1). Please obtain the textbook for the class, Biology, Ninth Edition, by Campbell and
Reece.
2). All Short Essays and Chapter Questions must be typed.
(Should be double-spaced, Times New Roman, and Font Size 12).
3). All Short Essays, Chapter Questions, and Worksheets should be put in a
folder with your name clearly written on the outside, and ready to be turned in
on Friday, August 30.
4). Please demonstrate academic honesty on this and all of your assignments.
Copying or cheating will earn you a “zero.” If you work with another student
on this assignment, make sure that your wording is different.
5). You will have a test on Chapters 1 and Chapters 52-56 the second week of
school.

**Short Essays: Worth Twenty Points Each. (All together One Test Grade)

Assignment 1: Worksheets
**Read Chapters 1 and Chapters 52-56 in Biology. As you are reading the chapters,
complete the Worksheets for each section. Make sure all answers are complete, a
the question is fully answered. It would be a good idea to make detailed
descriptions of all bold faced words in the chapters on Index cards. These will
help you study for Tests and to review for the AP Exam.
**As you are reading the chapters, it would be a good idea to take some notes on the
main concepts and ideas. This will prepare you for the test on the chapters the
second week of school.
