I will use my Student Planner properly and read all the pages within it;<br />
I will attempt all the homework set and hand it in on time;<br />

PART TWO:<br />
The Parent/Carer will:-<br />
‣ See that my child goes to school regularly, is on time, goes to all lessons, is properly<br />
equipped and wears the correct school uniform;<br />
‣ Let the school know about any concerns or problems which may affect my child’s<br />
work or behaviour;<br />
‣ Support <strong>Mangotsfield</strong> <strong>School</strong>’s policies, particularly Family Holidays and Guidelines<br />
on behaviour, including detentions;<br />
‣ Support my child in homework by providing a quiet place for him/her to complete it<br />
and encouraging other opportunities for home learning;<br />
‣ Attend Parents’ Evenings, Academic Reviews and other evening meetings which<br />
support my child’s learning;<br />
‣ Take an interest in the work my child is doing in school;<br />
‣ Read and sign the Student Planner every week and use it as the main<br />
communication tool between home and school;<br />
‣ Make sure my child is using the Student Planner effectively in their learning;<br />
‣ Read the white pages at the start of the Student Planner, particularly the ‘Code of<br />
Conduct’, attendance and <strong>School</strong> Uniform and ensure that my child keeps these<br />
rules;<br />
‣ Take an interest in the work of the PTA;<br />
‣ Encourage my child to become as involved as possible in the life of the school e.g.<br />
Music, Sport, Drama.<br />

PART THREE<br />
The <strong>School</strong> will:-<br />
‣ Encourage every student to learn to the best of their ability by following the<br />
school’s Vision Statement of ‘<strong>Mangotsfield</strong> Motivates’;<br />
‣ Recognise and encourage positive effort and good work through the Rewards<br />
system;<br />
‣ Provide a broad and balanced curriculum, together with a range of out-of-school<br />
activities and visits;<br />
‣ Mentor students to monitor their progress;<br />
‣ Contact parents or carers if there is a problem with attendance, punctuality,<br />
equipment or any other concern from the white pages at the front of the Student<br />
Planner;<br />
‣ Let parents or carers know about any concerns or problems that affect their<br />
child’s work or behaviour;<br />
‣ Send home regular assessments, reports and general information about their<br />
child’s progress;<br />
‣ Care for every student’s safety, treat him or her with respect and value every<br />
student’s contribution to the school community;<br />
‣ Set, mark and monitor homework and provide facilities for students to do<br />
homework in and after school hours;<br />
‣ Arrange Parents’ Evenings during which progress will be discussed;<br />
‣ Keep Parents/Carers informed about school activities through Newsletters and<br />
notices about special events;<br />
‣ See parents/carers at a mutually convenient time to discuss their child’s<br />
education.<br />
