Pre and Post Conference tours The Pre and Post Conference tours for the Healthy Soils Symposium are each 3 hours in duration and are being organised and led by Professor Peter Grace from QUT. For those of you participating in the pre-conference tour on Tuesday, July 3, the conference registration desk will be open from 12 noon in the main hotel foyer at Twin Waters. We will have a light sandwich lunch available for anyone registering at this time. The tour will depart from the foyer at 1.30pm sharp and is scheduled to return at 4.30pm, adjacent to our registration desk. The tour will head out to the nearby Nambour research farm – that has had a long involvement in soil health research and is the “home” of the now-famous Peter Grace Soil Health Test Kits. A particular talking point will be the automated chambers in the field measuring greenhouse gas emissions. You will return in good time to check in and settle into your rooms – but be sure you are right on time for the welcome cocktail party (very casual dress – the word cocktail simply applies to the format, which is fun – and standing), which commences at 6.30pm sharp. Look for directional signs in the hotel foyer. Meanwhile, the post conference tour will depart Twin Waters foyer at 1.30pm on Thursday July 5 (immediately after lunch). This three hour tour takes you to a rainforest adjacent to the famous Glasshouse Mountains – where Peter intends to dig a soil pit in a macadamia plantation! Fun, informative – and the opportunity to see a Sunshine Coast icon. It will return to Twin Waters by 4.30pm in good time for you to make arrangements to fly/drive home that day. Privacy Unless otherwise requested via the registration form, delegate names and contact details will be placed on the list of delegates to be made available at the registration desk. Special dietary requirements Any delegate that has stated a special dietary requirement in their registration form should report to the registration desk to collect their specially-marked meals at morning and afternoon tea and luncheon. Terms & Conditions Cancellation Policy A full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee, will be made on any cancellations received by April 30. A refund of 50% of the registration and accommodation fee will be made on any cancellations received by May 30. A refund of 50% of the registration fee is available on cancellations made after May 30 and before June 30, however any accommodation cancelled after this date is not refundable.
