brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all
our infirmities And bore our sicknesses."
walking." Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw
everyone clearly.

and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed." As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him,
and he was cleansed. And He strictly warned him and sent him away at once, and said to him, "See that you
say nothing to anyone; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing those
things which Moses commanded, as a testimony to them." However, he went out and began to proclaim it
Matthew 10:1-8
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits , to cast
them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Now the names of the twelve apostle s
are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his
brother; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and
Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; Simon the Cananite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.
These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: "Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do
not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go,
preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out
demon s. Freely you have received, freely give.
Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the
porch which is called Solomon's, greatly amazed. So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: "Men
of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or
godliness we had made this man walk? The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers,
glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was
determined to let Him go. But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be
granted to you, and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.
And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the
faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
Acts 5:15-16
So that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow
of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to
Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
Acts 3:1-8
Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a certain man
lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called
Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the
temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us." So he gave them
his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have,
but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." And he took him
by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he,
leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them walking, leaping, and praising God.
Acts 9:32-35
As Peter traveled about the country, he went to visit the saints in Lydda. There he found a man named
Aeneas, a paralytic who had been bedridden for eight years. "Aeneas," Peter said to him, "Jesus Christ
heals you. Get up and take care of your mat." Immediately Aeneas got up. All those who lived in Lydda
and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.
Acts 28:8-9
And it happened that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and dysentery. Paul went in to him and
prayed, and he laid his hands on him and healed him. So when this was done, the rest of those on the island
who had diseases also came and were healed.
God sends us out to heal others
Mark 16:15-20
And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and
is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow
those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take
up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the
sick, and they will recover." So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven,
and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with
them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
1 Corinthians 12:28-31
And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that
miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all

prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with
tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.
and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The
chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for
righteousness by whose stripes you were healed.
Matthew 12:14-17
Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him. But when Jesus knew
it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all. Yet He warned
them not to make Him known, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet...
Instances of Delayed Healing
Mark 6:3-6
Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His
sisters here with us?" So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without
honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house." Now He could do no
mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled
because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.
Matthew 13:57-58
country and in his own house." Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Luke 13:10-16
Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a
spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus
saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, "Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity." And He laid
His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. But the ruler of the
synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd,
"There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the
Sabbath day." The Lord then answered him and said, "Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath
loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a
daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, think of it for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on
the Sabbath?"
Misc. Verses About Healing
Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, "
the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And
that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And
not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing
shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your
rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, Here I am.' "If
you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, If you
extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness,
drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose
waters do not fail.
glorified through it."
saying, "According to your faith let it be to you."

perfectly well.
multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to
hear Him and be healed of their diseases, as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And
