1. Schedule in Thailand (tentative)<br />

On <strong>19</strong> <strong>Aug</strong> – 2 <strong>Sep</strong> <strong>2013</strong>, you will enjoy various activities for culture, field trip and sightseeing with<br />

internati<strong>on</strong>al students.<br />

For example:<br />

learning Thai basic language<br />

visiting Royal Grand Palace Royal<br />

site project and Floating market<br />

CSR project and field trip in the rural<br />

area<br />

2. Accommodati<strong>on</strong><br />

The participants will stay <strong>on</strong>-<str<strong>on</strong>g>camp</str<strong>on</strong>g>us dormitory<br />

or guesthouse nearby the university. The student will stay in the twin room which includes air<br />

c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>er, closet, table and bathroom. The laundry service is available <strong>on</strong> the 1 st floor of female<br />

dormitory where stays not far from the guest dormitory.<br />

3. Program cost:<br />

The program fee for nominated student is $150/student. It includes field trips, accommodati<strong>on</strong>,<br />

cultural activities and local transportati<strong>on</strong> during the program.<br />

Accommodati<strong>on</strong> and local transportati<strong>on</strong> during the program<br />

are provided by <str<strong>on</strong>g>KMUTT</str<strong>on</strong>g> in kind. The meals and all other pers<strong>on</strong>al<br />

expenses (such as expenses for internati<strong>on</strong>al air ticket, souvenirs,<br />

internati<strong>on</strong>al ph<strong>on</strong>e calls and so <strong>on</strong>) will be resp<strong>on</strong>sible by the<br />

individual.<br />

4. Applicati<strong>on</strong> procedure<br />

Participants will be selected from <str<strong>on</strong>g>KMUTT</str<strong>on</strong>g> partner universities in<br />

ASEAN, Japan, China and Taiwan.<br />

4.1 Required Documents for Applicati<strong>on</strong><br />

• Completed Applicati<strong>on</strong> Form<br />

• Academic Transcript from Home University (in English)<br />

• One Passport Photograph<br />

• Copy of passport


4.2 The applicati<strong>on</strong> documents of nominated students should be sent directly by internati<strong>on</strong>al<br />

office of host university to oranut.sae@kmutt.ac.th and int.off@kmutt.ac.th.<br />

4.3 The deadline of applicati<strong>on</strong> is June 17th, <strong>2013</strong><br />

4.4 The final name list of participants will be announced <strong>on</strong> June June 28, <strong>2013</strong><br />

5. Things to bring to Thailand<br />

Generally, most shops in Thai accept Thai Baht. You are recommended to prepare Thai Baht<br />

before assembly. If you have difficulty in acquiring Thai Baht in your country, it is advisable to prepare<br />

US Dollars instead. You can buy Thai Baht at the airport. The exchange rate fluctuates daily,<br />

depending <strong>on</strong> the m<strong>on</strong>ey market.<br />

For your reference:<br />

A bottle of water=10 Baht or above<br />

A normal dish/meal =40-60 Baht or above<br />

A bus fee =10-23 Baht or above<br />

A fee for sky train = 20-45 Baht or above<br />

5. Notes and Regulati<strong>on</strong>s<br />

* Smoking in the public area is prohibited<br />

Thailand.<br />

* Punctuality is required.<br />

* Take care of your valuables (m<strong>on</strong>ey, passport, etc.) <strong>on</strong> your own.<br />

* Thailand's voltage is 220-240AC, 50 Hertz<br />

6. Overseas Travel Insurance<br />

Participants are provided with overseas travel insurance covering the<br />

whole program period (from the day of departure from your home in<br />

your countries to the day of arrival to your home in your countries).<br />

Let your family/university know the following numbers as the<br />

emergency c<strong>on</strong>tact numbers in Thailand.<br />
