“Bags of Love” for children
uprooted from their homes
women shelters
community service centres
disaster relief
By Sis. Joan Rogers
Thirty-two families with two working parents, two or more kids and
a mortgage were studied to determine their daily stress levels. The
research team got a unique perspective on how to better take care
of their very own families. They learnt ways to calm stress and create
joy in their own home by divvying up chores, having small moments
of togetherness, parents as role models-not pals, moms
making dinners from scratch, moms taking five minutes of me time,
families playing, reading or watching tv programs together, and
families embracing daily rituals.
To give: Place your gift in your tithe envelope mark it “Inner City
Offering.” Donations may also be made by calling 1-888-274-2372
or mailing directly to ADRA Canada, 1148 King St. E., Oshawa, ON
