Inter University Squash Tournament
Biztek organized All Karachi Inter University squash
tournament in the month of January, 2008. The
inauguration ceremony was held at Biztek main Campus.
This tournament was inaugurated by Col.Rtd Tahir Hussain,
Rector of Biztek. Ten teams participated in this tournament
these were:
· Karachi University
· Biztek
· Iqra University
· PAF KIET
· C.B.M
· Sir Syed University
· Aga Khan University
· Greenwich University
· Hamdard University
· Textile Institute of Pakistan
This tournament continued for three days from 22nd Jan
2008 to 24th Jan 2008. Education Minister Mr. Shujaat
Ali Baig was the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony of
this event. All the teams played very well and finally the
final match of Squash champoinship was played between
University of Karachi and Iqra University.
Lastly this tournament was won by Karachi Univeristy and
the runner up team was Iqra University. Mr Shujaat Ali
Baig, Education Minister of Sindh then presented the
glittering championship trophy to the winning team and
Iqra university received the runner up trophy. After the
ending ceremony Mr.Shujaat Ali Baig, Minister of Education
of Sindh inaugurated Basket Ball court.
Badminton Tournament:
Badminton is the most popular game in the world. Coming
back to Biztek, on 26th Jan 2008, badminton tournament
was organized by H.E.C at NUST (Rawalpindi). Universities
from all over Pakistan participated in it, including University
of Karachi, Biztek, Iqra University, N.E.D University, NUST
(Rawalpindi), UET (Taxila), Liaquat University, P.A.F KIET,
Hamdard University, Textile Institute of Pakistan, Bahria
University, Mehran University and LUMS (Lahore) etc.
