Overview

M1501 ultra-thin client. 3G and VPN firmware enable the
Tadpole M1501 to provide mobility and security to stay
connected virtually anywhere. This innovative, mobile
wireless ultra-thin client is 100% compatible with the
Oracle ® Sun Ray platform for those who demand mobility
and security.
Reliable and Secure
The Tadpole M1501 provides a mobile platform for serverhosted
applications whether Linux ® , UNIX or Windows ®
based. It utilizes the Sun Ray protocol from Oracle ® and
it is 100% compatible and interchangeable with other Sun
Ray clients and servers for unparalleled flexibility. With no
local user storage, memory or software the Tadpole M1501
is resilient to local system crashes and the resultant loss of
data as well as being highly secure from viruses, worms and
denial of service attacks. All applications run on reliable,
secure, centrally managed servers.
Simple and Secure User Authentication
Users are authenticated via smart cards, username/
password combinations and optionally, external biometric
devices. They gain access to only those applications, data,
services and web content to which they have been granted
privileges via the Sun Ray server. Standard Sun Ray session
mobility using smart cards means authenticated users can
easily access their computer session from any Tadpole
M1501 or Sun Ray device for optimum productivity.
Full Range and Power
The Tadpole M1501 features 802.11a/b/g/n technology for
wireless flexibility. With its high power battery pack the
Tadpole M1501 can provide a full workday of operation.

SUN RAY SERVER REQUIREMENTS
Sun Ray Software 5 (Sun Ray Server Software
4.2) is the recommended software for M1501
clients; however, all models are supported on
versions 3.1 and higher of the Sun Ray Server
software. For all the latest feature and
functionality support, always use the latest
supported version of the Oracle Sun Ray Server
software.

Sun Ray Server Software 4.2 is designed to run
on the following operating systems with
Solaris SPARC and x86 servers:
