April 2011 www.sbcba.org 9 Inland Empire Attorney Richard Marca Inducted into ABOTA Gresham Savage Shareholder, Richard Marca, has been inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) under the rank of “Associate.” This prestigious group of trial lawyers has been active since 1957, and seeks to preserve and protect the right to a jury trial. Membership consists of some of the most distinguished trial lawyers in the country and occurs only upon nomination and approval by the local chapter and the ABOTA National Board of Directors. Those that are inducted as Associates must have have tried a minimum of twenty civil jury trials to a jury verdict as lead counsel or achieved the requisite number of jury trial experience equivalency points. Members are also recognized as being trial lawyers of high personal character with honorable reputations. Mr. Marca has been practicing law for 24 years in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties and Co- Chairs the Labor & Employment Law Practice Group at Gresham Savage. His practice involves frequent counsel to employers of all sizes on compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations, litigation prevention and representation before most governmental agencies and courts. He is also a successful trial lawyer and business litigator having tried to verdict a wide variety of business and employment disputes. Mr. Marca also serves as outside General Counsel to various business entities in the manufacturing, distribution and construction industries within the Inland Southern California region, where he provides his clients general counsel advice and the coordination of services from the firm’s several specialized practice areas.
