bodies, this Pug is ready to rumble. 

Anyone thAt’s been to 

A mAjor modified cAr 

show will have heard of Vibe 

audio, in more ways than one. 

They’re the loudest bunch 

around with their mega bass 

tunnel and renowned Judge 

dread bass machine, and they’re 

also responsible for building 

some of the most lavish demo 

cars in the business. 

Their latest project however, is 

not so much a new demo car but 

a revamp of an old one that’s 

been brought right up to date 

with all-new gear. The danishbuilt 

parotech 206 was shipped 

over by Vibe for its stealth looks 

and unique bodywork. This has 

now been refreshed by the guys 

at lichield accident Repair 

Centre using House of Kolor 

chrome paint, black detailing 

and cool graphics. From the 

outside this thing means 

business and from the inside, 

things deinitely are the 

business. 

The Black death range is 

Vibe’s latest product designed, 

built and aimed at the hardcore 

bass heads. If you’re into your 

Spl and you only count your 

igures in dBs, then this 206 is 

right up your street. With three 

sets of components, ten 

ampliiers and two subs – if you 

think you’re man enough to 

have your bones shattered, then 

take occupancy of one of the 

seats in this car and experience 

what Black death is all about…

irst and foremost, then it had to stand out 

from the crowd – I’m pretty sure we have 

managed that!

While most interiors are 

either totally packed with 

lashings of leather or 

stripped right out to save 

weight, Vibe’s 206 is 

dominated by an audio wall 

built right up to the front 

seats. and when the audio’s 

not turned on, it’s still a 

pleasant place to perch, with 

front seats trimmed in black 

leather and alcantara. 

Meanwhile, the left hooker 

dash has been fully 

smoothed out, with the dip on 

the passenger side illed and 

the glove box smoothed of its 

handle. new audi TT vents 

were also added, as well as 

new air Ride gauges and 

Issota accessories, before 

being inished in a satin 

black to give a quality feel 

with stealth looks. a winning 

combo.

It wasn’t that long ago that 

Spl audio enthusiasts would 

concentrate on packing their 

ride out with plenty of subs 

and the same amount of 

amps. There was one goal – to 

make the car as loud as 

possible. as time has gone on 

though, things have changed 

and as audio has improved 

with technology, so has its 

size and sound quality. While 

Vibe audio is at the cutting 

edge of the uK’s ICe market, 

the latest debut of their Black 

death range is sure to cause 

a stir… and then some. 

The most unusual feature 

of this car’s ICe is that it 

packs just two subs, but ten 

ampliiers. With the system 

controlled through the FlI 

SWaT 5 source unit, the 

mid-range is taken care of by 

three sets of Sek60-v3 

components, with an extra 

two pairs of tweeters 

powered by two Black Box 4 

ampliiers. When it comes to 

the bass though, two 

spanking new, whopping 

18-inch Black death woofers 

are enclosed in a custom built 

audio wall. Weighing in at just 

over 23kg each, these heavy 

bastids can take some proper 

hammering, using four Black 

Box 5 amps apiece to power 

them. The dBs this car 

produces are unreal, so get 

yourself to the Vibe stand at 

a show this year and hear 

what the fuss is about.

“THIS CAR CAN STILL CUT IT WITH THE BEST OF THEM”

Wider arches mean room for 

big hoops. In keeping with 

the rest of the car though, 

these had to be something a 

little more special than widely 

available core wheels. Cue 

the exceptional 19-inch TSW 

Zenon pin drive wheels 

wrapped in sticky Toyo 

rubber. Just a handful of 

these rims were ever made 

with the special pin drive it 

(a one nut bolt on and off 

item) and this 206 wears them 

well. Teamed with the dS air 

ride for mega tuck, this combo 

ensures it’s driveable, yet still 

sits a beaut when parked up!

Some of the rarest 

rims on the road. 

Back in 2004 this danishbuilt 

beauty graced the pages 

of FC, acclaimed as one of the 

inest pugs out there. Five 

years on, and after its latest 

revamp, it’s back again to 

show it can still cut it with the 

best of them. The parotech kit 

features wider front wings, 

new front/rear bumpers and 

skirts and arches that are 

seamlessly blended into the 

rear quarter; giving this 206 

an aggressive look, but at the 

same time a touch of class. 

When the car arrived in 

the uK it wore tough-looking 

matt black paint, but to 

promote Vibe’s new Black 

death range it got a new suit 

on, in the form of some rather 

special House Of Kolor (HOK) 

Kosmic Krome paint. applied 

by lichield accident Repair 

Centre this was built up of 

several layers and inished 

with a special lacquer. Black 

death graphics was then 

applied using black vinyl, 

toughening it up even more.

haven’t escaped being fettled 

with. The 206 GTi lump 

features a set of throttle 

bodies, internal headwork 

and up-rated cams that push 

this pug’s power close to the 

magical 200bhp marker. If you

all-out demo car, the battery 

and washer bottles have 

been relocated to 

accommodate the laughing
