1.2.3 SET-UP Projects in Central Visayas
Since 2002, there are 196 SET-UP projects in the region.
The classification of core funded and non-core funded SET-UP
projects are just convenient terms to separate those projects that
incorporate national SET-UP assistance funds, as follows:
Core funded SET-UP Projects: Projects directly provided with
technology acquisition assistance where the beneficiary goes into a
rental agreement because they are not yet capable to fully acquire the
technology on their own.
Non-core funded SET-UP Projects: The projects do not require
rental agreement for technology acquisitions. Usually, these
beneficiaries have the resources to get these technologies.
