FDI in 2008<br />

The Government of <strong>Montenegro</strong> allocated the<br />

area of 1357 ha of <strong>Velika</strong> Plaza for the<br />

development of a tourist complex.<br />

through long-term lease of state land (903 ha)<br />

which would be given on lease to a maximum of<br />

90 years with possibility of extension.<br />

The availability of land in private ownership will<br />

depend on the arrangements concluded<br />

project companies, with the assistance of the<br />

FDI Tender in 2008objective<br />

The objective of the tender <strong>Velika</strong> Plaza is the<br />

development of a multi-purpose, exclusive,<br />

long-term sustainable tourist complex of the<br />

highest quality, containing hotel, leisure and<br />

sport facilities, housing units, as well as objects<br />

of interest to the community, including<br />

education, health, business and cultural<br />

premises.<br />

Bidders are expected to design the complex to<br />

work 365 days a year and provide numerous<br />

benefits to the local community.<br />

Companies and consortiums which fulfill the<br />

following criteria can participate in the tender,<br />

• Significant experience related to the<br />

implementation of comprehensive real estate<br />

• Experience in constructing real estate of a<br />

significant total area and significant value of<br />

investments, which will be defined by tender<br />

rules<br />

• Experience in operating either hotel, tourist,<br />

leisure, cultural and education properties or<br />

commercial /office centers<br />
