Q & A
How much does it cost?
NOTHING. This fun-filled
night is absolutely FREE!
What can I win?
We will have many door
prizes including word
search books, crossword
books, word jumble books, Mad Libs, gift
cards to the Book Fair, word games, and
more!
How will my time be spent?
Parents and their children will attend 3 out
of 6 activities (rotate every 20 minutes to
the next activity).
Can I bring my whole family?
Yes! In fact, there’s a costume contest.
One middle school student and one preschool
through elementary-aged student
will get a prize.
Can I attend by myself?
No. GMS students MUST be accompanied
by a parent, guardian or designated
adult. Register with your parent between
5:30 and 7:00 PM in the cafeteria.
Will there be anything to eat?
Absolutely. Dinner will be served in the
cafeteria from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. FREE!

activities, food,

ACTIVITIES
Families will choose 3 out of the following
6 activities and will switch every 20
minutes!
1. Wacky Web Tales. Funny fill-in-theblank
fun is found here! Students will
compete to finish stories using different
parts of speech.
2. Scary Stories Activity. Need a good
scare? You should attend this activity in
the courtyard. Students will tell their favorite
scary story. BOO!
3. Apples to Apples Game. Everyone will
enjoy this hilarious and exciting game of
adjective and noun comparisons.
4. Story Musical Chairs Enjoy a modified
version of musical chairs using stories.
5. Bookmark-making Activity. Get creative!
We will have art supplies so you can
make a masterpiece placeholder. Come
and show your artistic talent (and take
home your own laminated bookmark)!
6. Readers’ Theatre. Kids and parents sit
down and are given parts, to play. They
read out their parts in front of an audience.

COSTUME CONTEST
Wear a costume of your favorite
book character or author and win a
prize. (one prize for younger kids, one
for middle school age students.)
OTHER AWESOME STUFF!!!

• English teachers will be giving an
extra credit homework grade to
students who attend.
• Get a FREE raffle ticket to win an
Eagle hoodie or tie-dye t-shirt!
