ANNUAL PRODUCTION SALE
Nordlund Stock Farm
44946 151 st. Ave.
Clearbrook, MN 56634
218-776-3655 or 218-776-2823
nordlundstockfarm@gvtel.com
Welcome to our 16th production sale!
For 39 years now, our family has been marketing seedstock. We feel very
blessed with the opportunity to be able to do this for a living. As all of you
know, raising livestock is an extremely rewarding yet challenging occupation.
2012 was a year that won’t be forgotten, with drought, high commodity and
feed prices.
The lineup of bulls and females we have for your inspection this year,
is a group we are very proud of. We really focus on producing cattle, that
are moderate framed with an abundance of rib shape, fleshing ability, and
muscle expression, while still not losing sight of udder quality, structural
soundness, and good feet. EPD’s are an important tool for us, but balance
is key for our operation.
Again this year we are offering to buy 20 ear tags per registered bull sold,
of either Angus Source Tags or Red Angus Certified Tags. The purpose of
these tags is for age and source verification and will in turn help to bring
a premium for your calves. There are some arrangements that need to be
made to qualify to use the tags so contact us before you need them. If you
purchased tags last year make sure to contact us so we can reimburse you for
them. There are special Red Angus sales again being held at Bagley Livestock
Exchange throughout the fall and winter. If you have any questions about
these tags or upcoming feeder calf sales contact us.
As always the cattle will be sold with a breeding guarantee. Feel free
to stop in ahead of time to look over the cattle or give us a call with any
questions if we can help with your selection in anyway, to help you find the
bull or female that best fits your program. Also, new this year the sale will
be broadcasted through DV Auction if you are unable to attend.
Thanks,
