Bahrain - The Meeting Place for the
Gulf's Oil and Gas Industry
"MEOS creates the opportunity
to interact with regional and
international companies, as well
as enriching public relations with
other exhibitors."
ADNOC Group
As global demand for oil and gas continues to rise, the Gulf's
vast reserves are set to be the focus of the international
energy industry and global economic stability for the
foreseeable future. Bahrain is perfectly positioned at the heart
of this important region and is the ideal meeting place for
technology buyers and suppliers. Saudi Aramco's headquarters
in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia is only a short drive
away over the King Fahad causeway, and the GCC states of
Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and UAE are all within a one hour flight.
Famed since ancient times for its hospitality, today Bahrain's
vibrant international business community, relaxed atmosphere,
first class hotels and restaurants combine with its strategic
location to make it the best place to do business in the Gulf.
The Exhibition
Inaugurated in 1979, the exhibition is the most established showcase of oil and
gas products and services in the Middle East, attracting NOCs, IOCs and major
operating companies. Regular high profile international exhibitors include
Baker Hughes, ExxonMobil, Halliburton, Schlumberger and Weatherford amongst
others in addition to smaller specialist suppliers, distributors and numerous new
entries to the Middle East market.
“Good organisation makes MEOS
a great event.”
Grainger
MEOS is also privileged to receive the full support of all 6 GCC national
oil companies:
• Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)
• Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO)
• Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC)
• Petroleum Development Oman (PDO)
• Qatar Petroleum (QP)
• Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco)
This support involves:
• Showcase stands at the exhibition, highlighting activities in the region.
• Implementation of major visitor and delegate programmes from within
their own organisations.
• Participation on the conference committee, ensuring that the programme
maintains its excellent technical focus, with special relevance to the
Middle East.
• Presentation of papers within the conference programme itself.

The Conference
Of paramount importance to the continuing success of MEOS is its Middle East
focused conference programme. Organised by the Society of Petroleum
Engineers (SPE), the MEOS conference has evolved into the largest and best
attended technical event of its kind in the Gulf. By providing high quality
presentations focused on Middle East issues, the quality of delegates is
exceptional and unique.
The SPE has unrivalled experience in organising petroleum conferences around
the world. At MEOS their skills are matched with unequivocal support from the
region's national and international oil companies. This support, in tandem with
participation from suppliers of products and services to the region, has
maintained MEOS' position as the best petroleum conference in the region.
