It is time for urgent action… HIV/AIDS is a business issue<br />
is imperative for the corporate community to work<br />
together.<br />
Mr. Anthony Phillips, Chair of the <strong>AFBI</strong>, gave a few<br />
words on the relevance of HIV/AIDS in the workplace,<br />
and the need for widespread adoption of the Charter to<br />
combat stigma and discrimination and to promote<br />
human rights. Support for the Charter was reinforced<br />
by Mr. Dennis Depeiza, General Secretary of the<br />
Congress of Trade Unions and Staff <strong>Association</strong>s of<br />
<strong>Barbados</strong> (CTUSAB), and Mr. Anthony Walcott,<br />
Executive Director of the <strong>Barbados</strong> Employers’<br />
Confederation (BEC). The <strong>AFBI</strong> will continue to partner<br />
with CTUSAB to bring the Charter to the public sector.<br />
