10.4 Specific Procedures For RIDOUT DZ<br />

Naha APP and/or <strong>Kadena</strong> ARR (as appropriate):<br />

Shall authorize parajump airspace as requested by <strong>Kadena</strong> TWR based on known traffic<br />

or safety of flight.<br />

<strong>Kadena</strong> TWR shall:<br />

Requisition airspace above 3,000 feet AGL from Naha APP and/or <strong>Kadena</strong> ARR, as<br />

appropriate, when required for proposed parajump activity.<br />

Direct Entry/exit points, route of flight, and holding track for parajump airspace based on<br />

known traffic to ensure the most efficient use.<br />

Upon receiving the 10-minute call from mission aircraft, sterilize the parajump airspace.<br />

Impose flight/altitude restrictions on the mission aircraft as necessary based on scheduled<br />

or known flights. Advise mission aircraft entering the designated parajump airspace areas<br />

of imposed flight restrictions prior to area entry.<br />

Immediately terminate all designated parajump operations when:<br />

Safety of flight dictates.<br />

Priority traffic and/or weather conditions dictate.<br />

10.5 Known Limiting Factors<br />

High-density civilian and military VFR fly-ways exist within the all of the designated<br />

parajump airspace. Mission aircraft and parajump operators are cautioned to be extremely<br />

vigilant of other aircraft. Mission aircraft and parajump operators may request Naha APP,<br />

<strong>Kadena</strong> ARR or <strong>Kadena</strong> TWR, as appropriate, for traffic advisories or weather information<br />

to assist with ensuring a safe designated parajump airspace exists prior to the release of<br />

jumpers.
