Develop a standard “Intervention Statement”
to be listed on the 485.
“Intervention Statement” will need to be
individualized for each patient.
Be sure to address the skills that will be
performed that <strong>are</strong> specific to M & E.
1. RN required for skilled management to meet
the patient’s medical needs, promote
recovery and ensure medical safety
2. Evaluate dietary compliance and response,
including nutrition and hydration status
3. Evaluate mental/cognitive status for
behaviors and risks to safety
4. Evaluate patient/C/G understanding of
complications to report
