STAR PLAYER
TEAM CAPTAIN
Murilo Endres
Murilo is an elder statesman of the Brazil team, having
competed in 11 editions of the World League. Poland 2014
will be his third World Championship appearance.
He has been a mainstay in the Brazil team that has won so
much since he made his debut in 2004. He won the World
Championship title with the national team in 2006 and
2010, and was named Most Valuable Player four years ago.
He also was in the teams that won six World League titles
between 2004 and 2010, being named Most Valuable
Player in the 2010 edition, and a silver medal at both
the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games. He was named Most
He is part of a family that has brought great volleyball
success to Brazil. His wife, Jaqueline Carvalho, was part
of the national women’s team that won gold at the 2008
Bruno Rezende made his international debut for Brazil in
