The <strong>behr</strong> <strong>equipment</strong> <strong>for</strong> determination of Kjeldahl nitrogen offers the user a complete<br />

individually configurable solution <strong>for</strong> the laboratory.<br />

• Sample Digestion Units<br />

The sample digestion units of the <strong>behr</strong>otest® InKjel line are provided with<br />

powerful infra-red heating elements.<br />

The quality and positioning of the infra-red heating elements guarantee the user<br />

reproducible heating phases and digestion temperatures at all sample positions.<br />

This also pertains to the twelve sample digestion unit, in which the samples are<br />

arrayed in two rows of six each.<br />

Direct irradiation of the samples by the infra-red sources eliminates the painfully<br />

slow warm-up phase associated with conventional heating block units.<br />

Thus, the <strong>behr</strong>otest® InKjel is the ideal rapid digestion unit <strong>for</strong> the Kjeldahl<br />

nitrogen determination and other high temperature sample digestions.<br />

• Steam distillation units<br />

The <strong>behr</strong> steam distillation units of the „S“ model series are the optimal<br />

complement to the InKjel rapid digestion units.<br />

Depending on the user’s requirements, he may choose between one manual and<br />

two automatic steam distillation models. These are similar in concept, but differ<br />

in the level of automation and convenience features. The top-of-the-line model,<br />

the <strong>behr</strong> S 5, is designed to accept an external titrator.<br />
