Giant Unprocessed 8” Silicon Wafer
These have a highly polished surface
with several different colors
visible on one side and an unpolished
surface on the other. They
were to be made into ICs but the
company ceased operations. They
do not have any IC patterns etched into them. On the
polished sides’ outer edge is a tiny set of numbers
and a few letters. New but no info. Makes a great dark
grey mirror for a wall and a beautiful object d’art.

These are fascinating to study under a magnifying

MEMS Assembly
MEMS (micro electro
mechanical systems)
consists of a 1” L x .78” W reflective mirror assembly
which contains over a million micro mirrors.
Each mirror represents one pixel. When a mirror receives
a signal it moves slightly, directing the light
striking it to hit a lens. A typical projector uses 3 of
these units (RGB). The mirror assembly is mounted
on a 5” L flat flex cable which terminates in a 100
pin female connector mounted on top of the flex
cable. These assemblies may have slight scratches
and or slight problems as listed on some of them
by the QC Dept. We have no info on these and no
way of testing them. Sold “AS IS” no returns. The
original cost was hundreds of dollars each.

Beautiful IC Mask
These are actual glass masks used in
the process of making sophisticated
ICs. Each mask is in a heavy plastic
case. These masks cost a fortune to
manufacture and they are fascinating
to study the patterns under a magnifying glass or
microscope. Each mask is different. Sizes vary, but
overall minimum size of the glass mask is at least
6” x 0.25” to 0.5” thick. Great for universities, educational
use or just a unique art object.

Tiny Blinking EL Driver & Red EL Wire
Great little combination
package for unique lighting
effects. Consists of a small
1.64” x .87” x .38” driver
which is self contained with
2 lithium coin cells. When
you press the “ON” switch,
and connect the output to the 2 ft. piece of EL wire,
it will start blinking on and off. The wire glows a nice
red color in a dark room and can be sewn to clothing,
glued to a sign in the shape you create, etc. All you
need to do is strip the covering off of the EL wire and
connect (solder and/or tape) to the 2 lead output of
the drive. Brand new set of wire and tiny EL driver.

CD V-742 Radiation Dosimeter
In the peak Cold War years of
1955 through 1965, the U.S.
Civil Defense Administration contracted with various
suppliers to manufacture all types of radiation
detection devices. This dosimeter was probably
made in 1964 and is a pocket pen type dosimeter
which has a scale marked 0-200 roentgens.The
pen is 4 1/2” long, about 1/2” in diameter and has
a window at one end. You would measure the total
radiation you were exposed to by looking through
the window at a line (that would mark the exposure
rating). Before use, this pen dosimeter would need
to have this line reset to 0 by a charging unit as this
is basically a quartz fiber electroscope. We do not
have the charger units, so you will not be able to see
the line. We are selling them “As Is”. Yellow colored
case. This is all the info we have but the internet has
much more. May have slight chips or scratches.

with an adjustable sensitivity control
to allow for super sensitive detection.
At the full clockwise control position,
the slightest movement or slight tap
sets it off. Has 2 built in LED indicator lights and
can operate from a 9V battery or higher voltage up
to 14VDC. Very simple to use–connect up power
and connect output lead to relay, LED SCR, etc. We
give you a simple hookup diagram that shows how
to hookup to any 5VDC DPDT relay (not included)
to “latch on” after detection. Sensor board has a removable

Ceramic Base SI Photodiode
We believe this was made by Hamamatsu,
however we can not find any S875-16R 4F
in their catalog. Precision made with gold
plated leads and an active area of about 10mm x
2.5mm. We tested one in sunlight and it produced and
open circuit voltage of .555Vand a short circuit current
of 1.95mA. Size: 15mm(L) x 2.7mm(W) x 1.5mm
(Thick). Marked with the full part #. Brand new.

Tiny Pressure Sensor
Made by Motorola, these were made to measure
pressure ranges that you would find in
medical devices (up to 300mm Hg). We are
not sure of the exact pressure range spec
on this one but it is similar to the MPX2011DT1 or
MPX2301DT1 sensors. They all have the same hookup.
These are base on piezoresistive technology. The
case is the white plastic chip PAK and is only .38”Tall
x .26”W x .10”Thick. Has small fitting with a black colored
gel inside for mounting to your hose. The size of
this fitting is .123”Dia. The sensor is brand new on tape
and reel. They are marked with a customer specific
number (not the part #). The hookup is pin 1 Vcc, pin 2
(+) out, pin 3 (-) out, pin 4 ground. Sorry no other details
available but there is schematics, app notes, etc on the
internet for similar sensors. Great experimentor item.

Unusual item consists of a photographic
mylar film image of precision
encoder lines. The overall
length of the strip is about 15.5”.
The actual encoder image is about
13.5”L. The width of the mylar film is
about .25”, however, the length of each encoder line
is about .15”. The lines are so fine we can’t tell how
many per inch, however the part# is HPMC8952-
80005. New, shipped rolled up in a bag.
