Use of Resources As we begin this year, we know that budget pressures may increase through the conclusion of the 2007-08 fiscal year, and may continue through 2008-09. It would be irresponsible not to prepare to address these difficulties promptly and effectively, and we are doing so. Nevertheless, to ensure safe and full delivery of our services to a rapidly growing county, we know that employee benefits and costs associated with security and facilities will present particular challenges. We must not only deliver our services within these limitations, but we must also continue to be able to attract dedicated staff members on whom we so rely. The immediate future for trial court budgets is uncertain, requiring that we continue to employ the most prudent approach to our budget as possible. As always, we are committed to this goal.
