ਸੁਿਣ ਸੁਿਣ ਬੂਝੈ ਮਾਨੈ ਨਾਉ ॥
सुिण सुिण बूझै मानै नाउ ॥
Suṇ suṇ būjẖai mānai nā-o.
ਤਾ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਬਿਲਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥
ता कै सद बिलहारै जाउ ॥
Ŧā kai saḏ balihārai jā-o.
ਆਿਪ ਭੁਲਾਏ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਠਾਉ ॥
आिप भुलाए ठउर न ठाउ ॥
Āp bẖulā-ė ṯẖa-ur na ṯẖā-o.
ਤੂ ੰ ਸਮਝਾਵਿਹ ਮੇਿਲ ਿਮਲਾਉ ॥੧॥
तूं समझाविह मेिल िमलाउ ॥१॥
Ŧūʼn samjẖāvahi mėl milā-o. ||1||
ਨਾਮੁ ਿਮਲੈ ਚਲੈ ਮੈ ਨਾਿਲ ॥
नामु िमलै चलै मै नािल ॥
Nām milai cẖalai mai nāl.
ਿਬਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਬਾਧੀ ਸਭ ਕਾਿਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
िबनु नावै बाधी सभ कािल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Bin nāvai bāḏẖī sabẖ kāl. ||1|| rahā-o.

ਖੇਤੀ ਵਣਜੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੀ ਓਟ ॥
खेती वणजु नावै की ओट ॥
Kẖėṯī vaṇaj nāvai kī ot.
ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁ ੰ ਨੁ ਬੀਜ ਕੀ ਪੋਟ ॥
पापु पुंनु बीज की पोट ॥
Pāp punn bīj kī pot.
ਕਾਮੁ ਕਰ੍ੋਧੁ ਜੀਅ ਮਿਹ ਚੋਟ ॥
कामु बोधु जीअ मिह चोट ॥
Kām kroḏẖ jī-a meh cẖot.
ਨਾਮੁ ਿਵਸਾਿਰ ਚਲੇ ਮਿਨ ਖੋਟ ॥੨॥
नामु िवसािर चले मिन खोट ॥२॥
Nām visār cẖalė man kẖot. ||2||
ਸਾਚੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਾਚੀ ਸੀਖ ॥
साचे गुर की साची सीख ॥
Sācẖė gur kī sācẖī sīkẖ.
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਪਰੀਖ ॥
तनु मनु सीतलु साचु परीख ॥
Ŧan man sīṯal sācẖ parīkẖ.
ਜਲ ਪੁਰਾਇਿਨ ਰਸ ਕਮਲ ਪਰੀਖ ॥
जल पुराइिन रस कमल परीख ॥
Jal purā-in ras kamal parīkẖ.

ਸਬਿਦ ਰਤੇ ਮੀਠੇ ਰਸ ਈਖ ॥੩॥
सबिद रते मीठे रस ईख ॥३॥
Sabaḏ raṯė mīṯẖė ras īkẖ. ||3||
ਹੁਕਿਮ ਸੰ ਜੋਗੀ ਗਿੜ ਦਸ ਦੁਆਰ ॥
हुकिम संजोगी गिड़ दस दआर ु ॥
Hukam sanjogī gaṛ ḏas ḏu-ār.
ਪੰ ਚ ਵਸਿਹ ਿਮਿਲ ਜੋਿਤ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
पंच वसिह िमिल जोित अपार ॥
Pancẖ vaseh mil joṯ apār.
ਆਿਪ ਤੁਲੈ ਆਪੇ ਵਣਜਾਰ ॥
आिप तुलै आपे वणजार ॥
Āp ṯulai āpė vaṇjār.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਿਮ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰ ॥੪॥੫॥

ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਦਖਣੀ ॥

ਜੋ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕਰ (ਬੂਝੈ) ਸਮਝੇ ਸਮਝਕਰ ਮਨਨ ਕਰੇ ਿਤਸ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਬਿਲਹਾਰੇ ਜਾਵ॥
(ਦਖਣੀ) ਜਾਤੀ ਵਸੇਸ ਹੈ॥
ਆਿਪ ਭੁਲਾਏ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਠਾਉ ॥ ਤੂ ੰ ਸਮਝਾਵਿਹ ਮੇਿਲ ਿਮਲਾਉ ॥੧॥
ਿਜਸਕੋ ਤੂ ੰ ਆਪ ਭੁਲਾਵਤਾ ਹ ਿਤਸ ਕੇ ਠਹਰਨ ਕੋ ਜਗਾ ਉਤਮੁ ਲੋਕ ਮੈ ਨਹ ਿਮਲਤੀ ਭਾਵ ਯਿਹ ਿਕ
ਚਉਰਾਸੀ ਮ ਸਦਾ ਭਰਮਤਾ ਹੈ ਵਾ ਈਹ ਠੌ ਰ ਨਹ ਅਰ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਮ ਥਾ ਨਹ ਿਜਸਕੋ ਤੂ ੰ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ
ਚਾਹਤਾ ਹ ਿਤਸ ਕੋ ਸਤਸੰ ਗ ਕੇ ਮੇਲ ਮੈ ਿਮਲਾਇ ਦੇਤਾ ਹ॥੧॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਿਮਲੈ ਚਲੈ ਮੈ ਨਾਿਲ ॥ ਿਬਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਬਾਧੀ ਸਭ ਕਾਿਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਟ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਏਹੀ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਖੇਤੀ ਔਰੁ ਵਣਜੁ ਹੈ ਪਾਪ ਪੁ ੰ ਨ ਜੋ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਬੀਜੁ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਜੀਵ ਨ
ਿਸਰ ਪਰ ਪੋਟ ਉਠਾਈ ਹੈ॥
ਕਾਮੁ ਕੋਧੁ ਜੀਅ ਮਿਹ ਚੋਟ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਿਵਸਾਿਰ ਚਲੇ ਮਿਨ ਖੋਟ ॥੨॥
ਔਰੁ ਕਾਮ ਕੋਧ ਕੀ ਚੋਟ (ਜੀਅ) ਅੰ ਤਸਕਰਣ ਮ ਸਹਾਰਤੇ ਹ॥ ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਿਵਸਾਰ ਕਰ ਔਰੁ ਕਰਮ ਮੇ
(ਚਲੇ) ਪਿਵਰਤੇ ਹ ਸੋ ਮਨਕੇ ਖੋਟੇ ਹ॥੨॥
ਸਾਚੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਾਚੀ ਸੀਖ ॥ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਪਰੀਖ ॥
ਿਜਨ ਨ ਸਚੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਚੀ ਿਸਿਖਆ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਿਤਨ ਨ ਅਪਨ ਸਚ ਸਰੂਪੁ ਕੀ ਪਰੀਿਖਆ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਿਤਸ
ਕਰ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ॥
ਜਲ ਪੁਰਾਇਿਨ ਰਸ ਕਮਲ ਪਰੀਖ ॥ ਸਬਿਦ ਰਤੇ ਮੀਠ ਰਸ ਈਖ ॥੩॥

ਅਸੰ ਗਤਾ ਮ ਿਦਸਟਤੁ ਜੈਸੇ ਜਲ ਪਰ ਪੁਰਾਇਨ ਚੌਪੱਤੀ ਰਹਤੀ ਹੈ ਔਰੁ ਜੈਸੇ (ਰਸ) ਜਲ ਮ ਕਮਲੁ ਅਲੇਪ
ਰਹਤਾ ਦੇਖੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੈਸੇ ਿਤਨਕਾ ਿਰਦਾ ਕਮਲੁ ਅਸੰ ਗ ਰਹਤਾ ਹੈ ਏਹੁ ਪਰੀਖਯਾ ਕਰੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਮ
ਰਤੇ ਹ ਸੋ ਮੀਠ ਰਸ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਆਤਮ ਰਸ ਕੋ ਪਾਿਪਤ ਹੂਏ ਹ ਔਰ ਿਤਨ ਕੀ ਤੀਨ (ਈਖ) ਇਛਾ
ਿਨਿਵਰਿਤ ਹੋਈ ਹ॥ ਲੋਕ ਈਖਣਾ ੧ ਧਨ ਈਖਣਾ ੨ ਪੁਤ ਈਖਣਾ ੩॥ ਵਾ ਈਖ ਸੇ ਭੀ ਜੋ ਮੀਠਾ ਸਬਦ ਕਾ
ਰਸ ਹੈ ਿਤਸ ਮੈ ਰਤੇ ਹੈ॥
ਹੁਕਿਮ ਸੰ ਜੋਗੀ ਗਿੜ ਦਸ ਦੁਆਰ ॥ ਪੰ ਚ ਵਸਿਹ ਿਮਿਲ ਜੋਿਤ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
ਹੇ (ਅਪਾਰ) ਬੇਅੰ ਤ ਵਾਿਹਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੇ ਸੰ ਜੋਗ ਕਰ ਅਰੁ ਅਪਨ ਅਿਦਸਟ ਕਰ (ਗਿੜ) ਸਰੀਰ ਿਕਲਾ
ਬਨਾ ਹੈ ਿਜਸ ਕੇ ਇੰ ਦੇ ਰੂਪੁ ਦਸ ਦੁਆਰ ਹ ਔਰ ਪਚ ਤਤ ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਮ ਤੇਰੀ ਜੋਿਤ ਸੱਤਾ ਸਾਥ ਿਮਲ ਕਰ
ਬਸਤੇ ਹ॥ ਵਾ ਜੋ (ਪੰ ਚ) ਸੰ ਤ ਇਸ ਗੜ ਮ ਵਸਤੇ ਹ ਹੇ ਅਪਾਰ ਜੋਤੀ ਰੂਪ ਸੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਥ ਿਮਲੇ ਹ॥
ਆਿਪ ਤੁਲੈ ਆਪੇ ਵਣਜਾਰ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਿਮ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰ ॥੪॥੫॥
ਆਪੇ ਜਗਾਸੂ ਰੂਪ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਹੈ ਅਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਅੰ ਤਹਕਰਣ ਮ ਆਤਮ ਵਸਤੂ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਆਤਮ ਵੀਚਾਰ
ਸੇ ਤੁਲ ਰਹਾ ਹੈ ਸੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹ ਹੇ ਨਾਮੀ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਤੂ ੰ ਸਰਬ ਕੇ ਸਵਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਨਾਵਨ
