B/W CCD Camera
Model CS8600 Series
Specifications
TOKYO ELECTRONIC INDUSTRY CO.,LTD.
2000-11-20

1. Product Description
The model CS8600 series are ultra-compact and light-weight B/W CCD cameras designed for
FA (factory automation), image measurement, microscopic, and other various applications.
2. Features
(1)High resolution
Its 380,000-pixel (EIA) CCD (CCIR: 440,000) achieves the horizontal resolution of 570TV
lines (CCIR: 560TV lines), ensuring high-quality images of high density with less moire fringes
or beatings.
(2)Ultra-compact and light-weight body
The integrated body, composed of a camera-head part and a CCU part, is designed to be highly
compact and light in weight. Just by supplying DC12V power, the camera can start to capture
image.
(3)Electronic shutter
With the built-in electronic shutter function, each model captures the images of fast-moving
object without much after-images.
(4)AGC
Thanks to AGC (Automatic Gain Control) functions, these cameras can obtain optimal images
even against severe changes in the amount of incoming light under illumination-fluctuating
shooting conditions (AGC ON / OFF selectable via inner SW).
(5)Restart / Reset
With the restart / reset functions set ON, images are captured at given timing cued by VD input
(R.R. ON / OFF selectable via inner SW).
(6)SS (Special Shutter) & RTS (Random Trigger Shutter)
These cameras are equipped with the special-shutter and random-trigger-shutter, which starts
light-exposure synchronizing with external trigger signal input. This function allow these
cameras to capture images at any user-defined timing (ON / OFF selectable via inner SW).
(7)Near-infrared region shooting capabilities
A near-infrared-region-sensitive CCD is integrated in the model CS8xxxI in this series. This
model can shoot clearly even under such condition.
