Job purpose<br />
To provide dynamic and effective pro-active financial support, risk assessment<br />
and evaluation <strong>of</strong> all new Growth opportunities, including post-implementation<br />
review and communication <strong>of</strong> lessons learnt so that organisational targets for<br />
growth and pr<strong>of</strong>itability can be met.<br />
Key accountabilities Tender Evaluation and Bid/Contract Sign-Off:<br />
a) Review and approve high-level tender evaluations.<br />
b) Review, approval and sign-<strong>of</strong>f <strong>of</strong> financial <strong>business</strong> cases<br />
supporting small and medium tender submissions.<br />
c) Create the framework to ensure the smooth and effective<br />
handover <strong>of</strong> successful tenders to Operations.<br />
d) Lead and support financial elements <strong>of</strong> contract negotiations for<br />
high value tenders.<br />
e) Review and approve financials elements <strong>of</strong> contract negotiations<br />
for small and medium tenders.<br />
New Markets and Business: Proactive design, evaluation and risk<br />
assessment <strong>of</strong> potential new product and new market opportunities<br />
(including TP Too). Joint accountability for sign-<strong>of</strong>f and monitoring with<br />
the Turning Point Too and Operations.<br />
Mergers and Acquisitions/Partnerships:<br />
a) Evaluate and review <strong>of</strong> target opportunities for presentation to<br />
CFO.<br />
b) Co-ordination <strong>of</strong> due diligence work across both internal and<br />
external resource.<br />
c) Escalate appropriate issues to CFO.<br />
a) Risk and Internal Control: Ensure there is an appropriate risk<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>ile across the Finace Business Development portfolio.<br />
b) Ensure an appropriate risk premium is built into financial<br />
<strong>business</strong> cases.<br />

Relationship Management and Communication: Act as the prime<br />
interface and key partner with Turning Point Too Managing Director,<br />
Sector Managing Directors and Senior Managers.<br />
Competitor Analysis: Review competitive intelligence to identify any<br />
trends or opportunities.<br />
Costing:<br />
a) Define scope <strong>of</strong> costing project for agreement by CFO & ACE, to<br />
include the cost <strong>of</strong> service delivery for a standardised product list.<br />
b) Manage the programme and delivery <strong>of</strong> cost <strong>of</strong> standardised<br />
products and central cost apportionment and drivers.<br />

Pricing:<br />
a) Develop pricing framework and guidance in accordance with the<br />
pre-defined strategy. Ensure it is updated on a regular basis.<br />
b) Use outputs from financial competitor analysis to inform any<br />

Organisational Management – Finance Function: Leadership and<br />
management <strong>of</strong> the Finance Business Development Team, particularly<br />
within the changing context <strong>of</strong> a social <strong>business</strong>, including succession<br />
planning, personal <strong>development</strong> etc.<br />
Strategy Support – For Wider Organisation: Development <strong>of</strong> tools and<br />
provision <strong>of</strong> support to facilitate the <strong>business</strong>’s delivery <strong>of</strong> the financial<br />
