Friedberg — Feb 22, 2012 — DEV Systemtechnik announced the appo<strong>in</strong>tment of Timothy<br />
Medved as Area Sales Manager for North America. Medved, an <strong>in</strong>dustry veteran, further<br />
strengthens the grow<strong>in</strong>g DEV US team and is responsible for help<strong>in</strong>g customers <strong>in</strong> North America<br />
take advantage of DEV’s expand<strong>in</strong>g product l<strong>in</strong>e of <strong>RF</strong> and fiber transmission equipment for<br />
broadcast, cable TV, satellite direct-to-home (DTH) and earth station signal transmission<br />
applications.<br />
Medved br<strong>in</strong>gs over 20 years of technical, market<strong>in</strong>g, product management and sales experience<br />
<strong>in</strong> the satellite, cable, electronics, and optical communications arena, with lead<strong>in</strong>g companies <strong>in</strong><br />
their respective markets, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g Siemens, Fujitsu, and General Instrument. His experience as<br />
an applications and sales eng<strong>in</strong>eer, <strong>in</strong>cludes sales of fiber-optic communications systems, a<br />
market segment <strong>in</strong> which DEV’s <strong>RF</strong>-over-fiber products are experienc<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>creased demand from<br />
North American customers. Medved holds a B.S. <strong>in</strong> Industrial Technology from San Diego State<br />
University, and an MBA <strong>in</strong> Management and Market<strong>in</strong>g from the University of San Diego.<br />
