DA 1500 Ceiling Inlet
DA 1500 is a universal air inlet specially designed
for installation in ceilings. DA 1500
is designed to enable optimum adjustment
of the amount of air, air velocity and
air direction in relation to the temperature
and the layout of the house.
Low to Medium Ventilation
Requirement
During the cold periods, it is possible to
supply the necessary amount of air at a
low air velocity. This is possible as a result
of the shape of the inlet flap and the
Advanced Inlet Control. These two factors
ensure that the air adheres well to the
ceiling (Coanda-effect).
The design of the DA 1500 inlet flap
ensures that the air is always led along the
ceiling. Therefore, the capacity of the DA
1500 can be utilised optimally, also at low
and medium ventilation.
With Advanced Inlet Control, the control
of the air currents at minimum ventilation
is improved considerably. Instead of all
inlets being opened a little, some of the
inlets - e.g. every second inlet - is opened
more. This means that the air is concentrated
in a few, but intense air jets. Large
air jets are more effective and easier to
direct further into the house, thus obtaining
a good climate in the house.
High Ventilation Requirement
During the warm periods with high ventilation
requirement, DA 1500 maintains the
Coanda-effect of the air along the ceiling.
However, the velocity of the incoming
air is so high that air circulation is created
around the animals when the air reaches
the occupational zone. The air velocity will
then cool the animals.
Uniform Opening
The inlet normally opens by pull. SKOV use
8 mm pull rods that ensure a uniform opening
of all inlets - even after the system
has been running for several months.
Counteracts Condensation
and Congelation
The inlet casing and inlet flap are insulated
to counteract condensation and resulting
congelation of the flap in periods when

Prepared for High-Pressure
Cooling
DA 1500 is prepared for mounting of highpressure
cooling. Clamps for cooling pipes
can be mounted and dismounted without
using any tools.
Easy-to-clean
DA 1500 is made of a plastic material,
which stands powerful cleaning with a
high-pressure cleaner. The special pla-stic
is smooth and dirtrepellent, which makes
the DA 1500 easy to clean. Furthermore,
the material is recyclable.
Lower Establishment Costs
DA 1500 supplies 1400 m 3 /h at 10 Pa negative
pressure. This output is high compared
to other ceiling inlets, and the construction
of the inlet ensures that the output can be
utilised. Thus, the costs of establishment are
reduced as fewer inlets are needed.

DA 1800 Ceiling Inlet
DA 1800 ceiling inlet is an effective, extra
fresh air intake, which leads the fresh air
into the house via the attic when it is very
warm outside.
The inlet is used in systems, where the air
intake is supplied by another type of air
intake, e.g. a diffuse air intake. The design of
the inlet ensures that the air is lead directly
down on the animals. In that way the animals
are cooled by means of the air velocity.
DA 1800 opens by slack, has an insulated
inlet casing, non-insulated flap and is delivered
inclusive of operation kit as standard.
Inlet funnel and possible pipe hangers for
cooling must be ordered separately.
DA 1800 is prepared for mounting of highpressure
cooling. Pipe hangers for cooling
can be mounted and dismounted without
using any tools.
DA 1800 is made of a plastic material,

the DA 1800 easy to clean. Furthermore,
the material is recyclable.
DA 1800 inclusive of inlet funnel supplies
1950 m 3 /h at 10 Pa negative pressure. The
output is thus approx. the double of the
inlets, which normally are used in connection
with Combi-Diffuse ventilation. Air
velocity and air direction is regulated thus
the output can be utilised. Thus, the costs
of establishment are reduced as fewer
inlets are needed.
