For Autostart’s <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> <strong>TECH</strong> <strong>TOOL</strong> <strong>software</strong> <strong>update</strong> <strong>procedure</strong> follow Step 1 to 11<br />
For Autostart’s <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> <strong>TECH</strong> <strong>TOOL</strong> FACTORY RESET PROCEDURE follow Step 12 to 17<br />
Autostart’s <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> <strong>TECH</strong> <strong>TOOL</strong> <strong>software</strong> <strong>update</strong> <strong>procedure</strong>.<br />
STEP 1: Once the <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> program installed on your computer, Open it and connect your <strong>PRG</strong>-<br />
<strong>1000</strong> Tech Tool to the Weblink <strong>update</strong>r on your computer. The main opening screen should look like<br />
the one below. Once opened, see the following <strong>procedure</strong> below…<br />
‣ Click “Help”<br />
‣ Choose “Update <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong>”<br />
STEP 2 :<br />
‣ Choose “Online <strong>update</strong>”<br />
‣ Click “Ok”<br />

STEP 3 :<br />
‣ Click “Continue”<br />
At this moment the computer <strong>software</strong> for<br />
the <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> will connect to the Autostart<br />
server and will download thru the web the<br />
latest <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> firmware for your Tech<br />
Tool.<br />
STEP 4 :<br />
Once the latest firmware is downloaded<br />
in your computer,<br />
‣ Click “OK”<br />

STEP 5: To begin your <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> firmware <strong>update</strong>, please follow the following steps below…<br />
‣ Click “Help”<br />
‣ Choose “Update <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong>”<br />
STEP 6:<br />
‣ At this point, make sure your Tech Tool is<br />
connected to your Weblink <strong>update</strong> cable<br />
and make sure your Tech Tool is turned<br />
ON.<br />
‣ Notice the version on the opening screen of<br />
the Tech Tool prior to the <strong>update</strong>. The<br />
Version displayed should be 2.0 or Lower<br />
as 2.0 being the latest available <strong>update</strong> at<br />
this time.<br />
‣ Then press on “PC LINK” on your Tech<br />
Tool. You should then see « PC<br />
Connecting… »<br />

STEP 7 :<br />
‣ Choose “Firmware <strong>update</strong>”<br />
‣ Click “Ok”<br />
STEP 8:<br />
When the message « PC Connected Successfully »<br />
is displayed on your <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> screen, you can<br />
choose a version to upload in your Tech Tool.<br />
‣ Then select the latest available version<br />
‣ Click « Update ».<br />

STEP 9:<br />
‣ During the <strong>update</strong> process, DO NOT<br />
DISCONNECT the Tech Tool from the Weblink<br />
cable. The Firmware is currently being uploaded to<br />
the <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong>.<br />
STEP 10: Once the installation is finished successfully, you<br />
should see the window on the screen shot on the right.<br />
‣ Click “OK”<br />
‣ Close the application.<br />
STEP 11:<br />
‣ Upon Power up of your Tech Tool you should see the<br />
screen shot on the right. If so, the <strong>update</strong> is now<br />
complete and the programmer is ready to be used.<br />
‣ If your <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> indicates « Reset Unit To<br />
FACTORY DEFAULT » during the<br />
programming process, follow the Steps 12<br />
to 17 to correct the problem.<br />

Autostart’s <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> <strong>TECH</strong> <strong>TOOL</strong><br />
FACTORY RESET PROCEDURE<br />
If your Autostart <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> TechTool is<br />
displaying “Reset Unit To FACTORY<br />
DEFAULT” during a TechTool firmware<br />
upgrade, proceed with the following steps in order<br />
to restore the functionalities of your Tech Tool<br />
programmer.<br />
This error might appear if the communication<br />
fails between the computer and the Tech Tool<br />
during a <strong>software</strong> <strong>update</strong>.<br />
STEP 12 :<br />
Connect your <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> Tech Tool to the Weblink <strong>update</strong>r cable on your computer and run the<br />
Autostart <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> desktop <strong>software</strong>. At the main opening screen it should look like the one<br />
below. Once opened, follow the <strong>procedure</strong> below…<br />
‣ Click “Help”<br />
‣ Choose “Update <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong>”<br />

STEP 13 :<br />
‣ Choose “Factory Restoration”<br />
‣ Click “Ok”<br />
STEP 14:<br />
‣ During the Factory Restoration process, DO NOT<br />
DISCONNECT the Tech Tool from the Weblink<br />
cable. The Firmware is currently being uploaded to<br />
the <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong>.<br />
STEP 15:<br />
‣ At the beginning of the Factory Restoration<br />
process the COM port should match the one set<br />
for the Weblink <strong>update</strong> tool previously set<br />
automatically by your computer.<br />
‣ The <strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> <strong>software</strong> will scan the COM<br />
ports to find the Weblink. Once located it will<br />
show “Connected on COM3” if your Weblink<br />
is set on COM 3. Then the Factory Restoration<br />
process will begin.<br />

STEP 16: Once the Factory Restoration process is finished<br />
successfully, you should see the window on the screen shot on<br />
the right.<br />
‣ Click “OK”<br />
‣ Close the application.<br />
STEP 17:<br />
‣ Upon Power up of your Tech Tool you should see the<br />
screen shot on the right. If so, your Tech Tool has<br />
been restored with the latest <strong>software</strong> uploaded to your<br />
<strong>PRG</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> desktop <strong>software</strong>. The programmer is<br />
ready to be used.<br />
