Running Your Empire<br />

Napoleon: Total War hands you an array of tools to help you build and<br />

nurture your Empire. The options available are dependent on the campaign<br />

being played, although all options are unlocked in the European Campaign<br />

and Campaigns of the Coalition.<br />

YOUR NATION<br />

The Government Details Panel offers an overview of your nation<br />

as a whole and acts as a central point from which to manage policies,<br />

government and trade.<br />

POLICIES<br />

The Policies Tab allows adjustment of taxation levels and the ability to set<br />

auto-manage for both tax and construction.<br />

AUTO-MANAGING TAX - Use the tick box on this panel to<br />

allow tax to be auto-managed by the computer AI.<br />

AUTO MANAGING CONSTRUCTION - Use the tick box<br />

on this panel to allow construction of buildings to be auto<br />

managed by the computer AI.<br />

GOVERNMENT AND MINISTERS<br />

The Ministers Tab displays information about members of your<br />

government and colonial governors and their bonuses. Depending on your<br />

nation’s current government type, you can use this panel to call an election<br />

or to replace ministers.<br />

TO CHANGE GOVERNMENT…<br />

Different government types offer specific benefits but you will need<br />

to engineer the conditions for a revolt to change your government.<br />

TRADE<br />

The Trade tab shows all the resources brought to your capital from across<br />

your empire, and how they are exported.<br />

Boost your coffers by exploiting the resources in your regions and<br />

developing trade agreements with rival nations via diplomacy. Expand<br />

your trade income by sending merchant fleets to trade posts.<br />
