Verily, We have granted you<br />

'alayhi wa sallam]) Al-Kauthar (a<br />

The River Kauthar<br />

Narrated Anas [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]:<br />
When the Prophet (sal-Allahu 'alayhi<br />
wa sallam) was made to ascend to<br />
the heavens. He (sal-Allahu 'alayhi<br />
wa sallam) said (after his return), "I<br />
came upon a river (in Paradise) the<br />
banks of which were made of tents<br />
of hollow pearls. I asked Jibreel<br />
(Gabriel), 'What is this (river)?' He<br />
replied, 'This is the Kauthar.' "<br />
