Designed to meet the demanding<br />
requirements of the Royal <strong>Netherlands</strong> Air<br />
Force (RNLAF) <strong>for</strong> the next 50 years, its<br />
unrivalled multi-role capability will provide<br />
tactical flexibility in an uncertain world.<br />
<strong>Gripen</strong> NG offers operational dominance<br />
and flexibility with outstanding mission<br />
survivability. Air-to-air superiority is<br />
guaranteed with METEOR, AMRAAM,<br />
IRIS-T, AIM-9X, missile capability and<br />
supercruise. Its leading edge avionics<br />
design and next generation data processing<br />
capabilities coupled with an AESA radar,<br />
IRST, HMD and state-of-the-art cockpit<br />
combine to create truly superior situational<br />
awareness. <strong>Gripen</strong> NG’s net-centric<br />
capabilities also include advanced data<br />
communications, dual datalinks, satellite<br />
communications and video links, as well as<br />
increased range and thrust from its<br />
General Electric F414G Turbofan engine.<br />

solution with optimised key functions such<br />
as maintenance, training and clearly defined<br />
support resources. It also provides mission<br />
support equipment, planning and evaluation<br />
systems, digital map generating systems, threat<br />
library support systems, radio frequency<br />
planning systems and maintenance support.<br />
