David Leinweber is CEO and Founder of Codexa Corporation, provider of software-based tools<br />

professional investors and traders need to operate effectively in the Internet era. He was a founder<br />

of Integrated Analytics Corporation, which he successfully built and sold to Investment<br />

Technology Group, a New York Stock Exchange Company. In between those ventures, he served<br />

as Managing Director and Partner at First Quadrant, where he was responsible for more than $5<br />

billion in global actively managed quantitative equity portfolios. Dr. Leinweber received S.B.<br />

degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from <strong>MIT</strong> and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics<br />

Paul Nadel<br />

Paul Nadel is Managing Partner of East West VentureGroup, where he directs its overall<br />

operations and provides his broad-based expertise to the firm’s portfolio companies. Before<br />

joining EastWest, he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Interactive Cable<br />

Systems, a private cable and telephony company that was acquired by MCI, as was a partner in the<br />

law firm Christensen, Miller, Fink, Jacobs, Glaser, Weil & Shapiro,LLP, where he worked with<br />

many prominent communications companies, including MGM/UA, Time Warner, MCI, News<br />

Corp., CapCities/ABC and Sony. He currently serves as a director on several Boards, including<br />

eCal, Broadstream, eMotion, Codexa and TrafficStation. Mr. Nadel holds a B.A. from USC and a<br />

Robert A. Lieberman, Ph.D.<br />

Robert A. Lieberman is Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Intelligent Optical<br />

Systems, Inc., an independent company formed from the Research and Development division of<br />

Physical Optics Corporation. He also serves as the Chief Research and Development Officer of<br />

Optical Technology Solutions Corp., and is a member of the Boards of Directors of both<br />

companies. He previously served in the Biophysics Department at AT&T Bell Laboratories, where<br />

he was responsible for the design and development of fiber-optic biosensors, as well as for the<br />

training of product development personnel. Dr. Lieberman currently oversees business activities<br />

related to a number of his companies’ optically-related product efforts. He received his B.S. and<br />

M.S. in Physics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.<br />

Henry Lichstein currently serves as a consultant to startups, after thirty years at Citibank, most<br />

recently responsible for technology strategy and Citigroup’s advanced development efforts. He<br />

started Citibank’s first commercial Web sites, ran the stored value Smart Card pilot in<br />

Manhattan’s Upper West Side, pioneered Citibank’s early Electronic Commerce activities, and<br />

made a number of internet investments, as well as managing technology projects and serving as an<br />

assistant to Citibank’s Chairman. He is a Trustee of the Santa Fe Institute, serves on the Board of<br />

Codexa Corporation, and was a member of the Board of Directors of Teradata Corporation before<br />

its acquisition by AT&T. He obtained a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, a B.S. in Economics and a<br />

Rohit K. Shukla is president and CEO of larta, the technology alliance for Southern California. He<br />

is a leader, visionary and innovative developer of programs at the intersection of public policy and<br />

private enterprise. In 1999, he was named by the Los Angeles Times as one of the “top Ten People<br />

to Watch” on the Tech Coast. He serves on the boards of several institutions, including the<br />

federally funded Integrated Media Systems Center at U.S.; EC2@USC, The Annenberg Incubator<br />

Project; the Digital Coast Roundtable; and the Digital Coast Foundation. He has a Masters in<br />

Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge, England, and a Masters in<br />

Since 1979, Ira Moskatel’s law practice has been focused on the representation of businesses that<br />

depend on intellectual property or technology, including computer software and hardware,<br />

entertainment, publishing, communications, and electronic commerce, and on the tax planning of<br />

major transactions. In addition, he was a co-founder of Teradata Corporation, a manufacturer of<br />

massively parallel database computers that was acquired by AT&T in 1992, several years after a<br />

successful initial public offering and served as a member of the Board of Directors of Peter Norton<br />

Computing, Inc., prior to its acquisition by Symantec Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Engineering<br />

and Applied Science from <strong>Caltech</strong>, and a J.D. from USC Law School, where he was elected to<br />

Order of the Coif and the Board of Editors of the Southern California Law Review. You may<br />
