93 EAS raise money for
“Scotty’s
Little
Soldiers”

93 EAS have chosen to raise money for “Scotty’s Little
Soldiers” a King’s Lynn based charity, who provide
days out for children whose mother or father has
made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the Her
Majesty’s Armed Forces on military operations.
A
total of £450 was
raised through
donations to the
Squadron T-Bar by
Squadron personnel
and visitors. We have also
donated £250 this year raised
through a charity golf and
auction day “The Webb Charity
Open” which was held this
year at “Tydd Saint Giles GC”
on the 22nd August 2012.

I am Cpl Cowley a JNCO
of the RAF Police Flight
and I would like to
give you an insight
into why we are
here and what we
can do for you.
The RAF Police
are here in a
security role
and as a law
enforcement
team for RAF Marham.
The Norfolk Constabulary
has Police jurisdiction over
Upper Marham however,
we are a Policing
agency and are here
to help if you need us.
As a resident of Upper
Marham we want you to know
that if you witness a serious
incident, you should call
Norfolk Constabulary on 101.
Alternatively, you can also call
the RAF Police on 01760 337261
Ext: 7227 and we can attend
the scene within minutes. We
can offer assistance ranging
from support when dealing
with pushy salesmen to
reacting to serious crime.
With the arrival of our
SNCO I/C RAF Police, FS Close,
he would like to introduce a
new road safety campaign.
The wearing of seatbelts
is compulsory at all MoD
establishments and the
discovery of this offence
can result in the removal
of your RAF Marham
vehicle pass for up to
seven days regardless
of your working location
or employment position.
You will also see in the
near future, life size cut
outs of a RAF Police NCO
carrying out speed checks.
These will be positioned
in speeding hot spots
and will occasionally be
accompanied by a RAF
Police NCO carrying out
speed checks. This should
highlight to all unit personnel
and visitors, the need to obey
the 25mph speed limit on the
domestic site and the 30 to
40mph ring road speed limit.
