MD. He married Martha Everendon Bef. 1704, daughter of Thomas Everndon and Katherine Johnson.<br />

She was born 1676 in Canterbury, Kent, England, and died Unknown.<br />

Will of Joshua Kennerly<br />

I Joshua Kennerly of Dorchester County in the Province of Maryland, Planter, being of good health and<br />

perfect Memory and knowing the uncertainty of this transitory life do make and ordain this my Last<br />

Will and Testament in manner and form following - revoking and making null and void all other Will<br />

or Wills, testament and testaments heretofore by me made and this only to be my last Will and<br />

Testament.<br />

FIRST: I commit my spirit into the hands of the Father of light as into the hand offaithful creator and<br />

my body to be decently buried according to the discretion of my executors hereafter mentioned.<br />

And as for the temporal Estate which it hath pleased the Lord to bestow upon me, my just debts and<br />

funeral expenses first being paid and .<br />

ITEM: I give and bequeath in manner and from following, Viz: First that my Stills & Clock and Smiths<br />

materials as bellows anvill and vices mil or mills be appraised as assess to my estate and<br />

the enclosed accompts in this my Will shall come in _foridge to my estate in respect of an equal<br />

division among my three children William Kennerly, Hester Edmondson and Sarah Kennerly.<br />

ITEM: I give and bequeath my son William Kennerly all the tract of land called Coverton wherein I<br />

now live upon condition as followeth. Viz: that my large outer room called the Hall be and remain for<br />

a meeting House for my friends called Quakers and that my inward room called the parlor at the<br />

southern most end of my dwelling House with the closets belonging to it i give to my daughter Sarah<br />

Kennerly to have the liberty of living in the said room so long as my siad daughter shall remain<br />

unmarried and for her to have liberty for her part of the stock on my dwelling Plantation and not to be<br />

hindered by my son William Kennerly or his heirs during the time that my aforesaid daughter remains<br />
