Furness College and Cumbria Cricket Ltd to
celebrate opening of the new Sports Hall
Next Spring will see the culmination of a long
term plan to bring top class Sports facilities to
Furness College, when a high profile England
Cricket player will open the facility.
The new sports facility, will be the final piece of
the jigsaw to the College’s campus
redevelopment.
The scheme has been developed in partnership
with the Cumbria Cricket Ltd and England and
Wales Cricket Board, and will act as the hub for
the development of cricket in the Furness area. It
will provide the sport with the best facilities this
side of Old Trafford, boasting upgraded lighting
and flooring and having the latest coaching
equipment aids.
Mark Nicholson, Deputy Principal Curriculum
and Quality, at Furness College, gets some
batting practice in.
Bob Simpson, Director of Cricket for Cumbria Cricket Ltd commented “This is the start of a new partnership with Furness College and we
are delighted to be getting such a superb cricket facility in Barrow and look forward in developing the sport both at representative level
and through community use by a wide range of local players and those new to the game. Cricket should also benefit from all of the resources
available at the new college campus including sport science, volunteer workforce training and through construction students
helping clubs to maintain and develop their facilities”
For the majority of the time the sports hall will be used by college students for curriculum and sporting activities. During weekend and
evenings it is proposed that all of the new sport facilities, including a gym and 3 rd generation pitch, will be opened up for community use
by clubs, groups and individuals who want access the new campus.
Mark Nicholson Deputy Principal Curriculum and Quality at the college said “The new sports hall has been high on our list of priorities
since we left the Howard Street site in 2000. The new facilities will allow the college to develop its approach to sport, fitness and health
for learners and members of the public. The cricket specialist nature of the new hall will allow continuous development of the sport
within South Cumbria, as well as providing a top class resource for a wide range of sports. We are delighted that Cumbria Cricket Limited
have worked with Furness College to develop a top class indoor cricket centre for Barrow. The facility will allow clubs and coaches to
develop the cricket skill of players from all age groups”. Keep an eye on the CCL website for news of the formal opening .
The South Lakes branch of the umpires association are holding a level 1 course which takes place on Sunday 3rd &
10th March 2013 at Warton CC, Borwick Lane, Warton, Carnforth Lancs.
Bob Simpson
Cricket Development Director
07785 722252
Alastair MacDougall has been appointed to head up the Emerging Players Programme ( EPP) for Cumbria Cricket. This role was previously
performed by Steve Benson. Alastair has quickly established some good working partnerships with both the Durham and Lancashire
Academies to introduce our best talent to their training & development programmes. In line with a review of the activities within
Cumbria Cricket, the programme will focus on the very best young cricketers within Cumbria.
Marc Brown now covers Eden & South Lakes areas, and has also just been appointed to the role of Under 14 County Head Coach,
working in partnership with Mark Cameron, who has been appointed to the U14 Team Manager role. The vacancy for team manager
arose with the departure of Bill Barrington, who stepped down due to other commitments, and we wish him well for the future. Cumbria
Cricket owes Bill a debt of gratitude for his sterling work over many years with the Under 14 team. We know Bill will still be watching the
progress of the team, so no pressure Mark and Marc !.
The process of selecting new County Team managers and County Head Coaches has recently been overhauled to help us meet the
minimum quality standards expected by the ECB in the running of our county age group squads. Cumbria Cricket worked closely with
the Cumbria Schools Cricket Association (C.S.C.A.) to agree new job specifications. In addition the CSCA also helped to select the
candidates who demonstrated the best qualities to deliver the roles within Cumbria. After a rigorous interview process we are delighted
to announce that Nigel Clubley is the new Under 13 Team Manager, following the resignation of David “ Dinger “ Bell from the post
earlier this year. Dinger continues in the role of Under 12 Team Manager. James Savory also has a change of “patch” and now covers
Allerdale and Carlisle development areas. James was also appointed as the new Under 13 County Head Coach recently. We wish all
our team managers and coaches every success for the upcoming winter selection trials and for the 2013 season County programme.
The CSCA has also agreed that they will continue to administer the Cumbria Under 11 and Under 12 County Teams, as these are not
included in the ECB County age groups at present. Cumbria Cricket will run the Under 13, Under 14, Under 15 and Under 17 County
Teams, and at present receive a small amount of funding each year from the ECB to help with the logistics of playing against other
county representative teams.
Changes to Vetting Checks An update from the ECB Safeguarding Team
You may be aware that significant changes are happening to the system for vetting checks. Some of these are taking place
NOW. The Government has said that further changes will be happening in the Spring of 2013. We’ll bring you details in our
next newsletter. For now, the main changes are to do with terminology and with the application form itself. These are
detailed below:-
• On December 1st 2012 the Criminal Records Bureau ( CRB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority ( ISA) have merged to
from the Disclosure and Barring Service ( DBS).
• The current CRB application form will be replaced with a new ’DBS’ Application form. The new form will reflect the change of
name from CRB to DRS and a new logo, together with some wording and format changes. All key processes and information
required to complete the application from remain unchanged.
• DBS Application forms are available to use from the 1st December 2012.
• You can continue to use any current stock of CRB application forms until 31st January 2013.
• From 1st February 2013 only DBS application forms should be used.
• Any old style CRB application forms received by TMG CRB ( who process the ECB’s applications ) after the 1st February 2013
will be invalid.
If you have any old stocks of CRB forms these should be returned for the attention of Alison Faiers, at Lords, by the end of December
2012, and if you have any queries please contact the TMG team at safeguarding@ecb.co.uk .
ECB CA Cumbria Coaches Conference 2013 - Saturday 9th March 2013
10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Ullswater Road , Penrith, CA11 7EG
In response to the feedback from previous conferences the theme of the 2013 Conference will be Spin, both bowling spin and
batting against spin. We are delighted to have secured Gareth Breese (West Indies, Durham and Jamaica) and Ali Maiden
(England Womens batting coach, Durham Academy coach).
Emerging Players Programme (EPP)
The Emerging Players Programme sits at the top of the County Player Pathway, alongside the Cumberland County team.
The primary objective of the programme is clear; if any player, girl or boy has the ability to play First Class/Super Four
Cricket we will support their development through the EPP.
A new initiative is about to be launched in partnership with Cumberland County Cricket Club, with the setting up of a
County Development X1 Team
Cumbria does not have the same resources as a 1 st Class County, in terms of finance and staff. We also understand the
pressure everyone if feeling with the current financial climate. However, we have got the structure in place for a very credible
EPP to develop players with potential.
The 2012/13 programme has already started with Cumbrian players making visits to Durham and Lancashire Academies.
The partnership with these first class counties offers our prospects the opportunity to make regular visits to develop their
skills, supported by the academy staff and to test themselves against players of their own age group.
We achieved considerable success with the development of Cumbrian players, most recently with Andrew Ireland's
elevation to England's elite player’s squad, a fantastic achievement for a product of our EPP program.
Lancashire are holding a spin academy with Gary Yates on the 21st of December with four talented Cumbrian spinners
attending, Patrick Allington, Matthew Clark, Ben Sharp and Matthew Semple.
This year’s programme with be led by Alastair McDougall with an under 13/14 trial taking place at Sedbergh school on the
16th of December. The programme will follow in the New Year after the selection process has taken place.
Cumbria cricket would like to thank Steven Sharp and Steve Benson who have led our Cumbrian programme up to this
point and have made an invaluable contribution to the development of many our young players.
Many of you will recognise anarchic comedian Keith Lemon ( on the right ! ), but few will know
Neil Boothby who is on the left in this recent photo. Neil is our new Commercial Manager who
is driving Cumbria Cricket’s focus on attracting major sponsorship to help develop Cumbrian
cricket. With severe pressure being put on every organisation’s financial position in the
current economic climate, Neil’s undoubted experience in attracting sponsors will be
invaluable.
Neil is currently working at Lancashire Life magazine, following a very successful career at
Macclesfield Town F.C. as their Commercial Manager. Neil, who plays cricket for Cartmel C. C.,
lives locally with his wife and will be focusing on the 2013 OSCA’s ceremony, which we believe
we will be a cracking affair ! As usual the CCL website will have the news in due course ……
maybe Keith Lemon will make an appearance ?
“Clearing the Boundary” Page 5
Changes to the way we train our cricket coaches come into being from September 2013.
The following article has been kindly written for Cumbria cricket by Tony Robson, Training Manager,
England & Wales Cricket Board, to let us all know what lies ahead.
“Combining the brilliance and inspiration of the past, with the best of the present to equip players and
coaches for the future.”
From September, 2013 coaches will access qualifications by following a children’s coaching pathway or young people and adult
coaching pathway. Clearly this may appear for some people, within and outside of our game, as a significant departure from what has
gone before in terms of how we educate, develop and resource cricket coaches via ECB Community Coach Education.
On the contrary, this current evolution is only possible based on the brilliance and inspiration of the past and existing position of
community coaching (and coach education) within the game. Building on these excellent foundations we are now in a position to
continually evolve and develop the coach education/ development experiences that we provide; based on this relentless pursuit of
on-going improvement ECB CCED are now striving to enhance how we educate, support and develop: players, coaches and tutors.
Therefore, the current evolution of the ECB CCED pathway is founded on the basis that:
Different players have different needs; we understand this better than ever
ECB’s duty is to educate and support coaches to meet players’ needs
ECB will provide coaches with easy access to support based on who they are coaching and the needs they have
Why is there no longer a ‘generic’ Level 2 qualification, and why has a distinction been made
between coaching children and young people/ adults?
There is a big distinction between how children learn and how adolescents and adults learn. In order to help all players take the most
from coaching sessions, it is vital for the game to recognise how to create coaching sessions which are entirely centred around the
needs of players and maximise learning and enjoyment. To help coaches have the best chance to learn the skills they need to do this,
the new CCED pathway will focus a coaches attention on the types of player they work with, this means the new qualifications will grow
all coaches understanding of how to create and run coaching sessions which are more focussed than ever on their own players.
The ECB Player Development Model (PDM) highlights 27 different playing environments within England and Wales; via an analysis of the
ECB Coach Development Model (CDM) it became apparent that we were expecting a cricket coach qualified via the ECB Coach Award
(L2/ UKCC2) qualification to work across 15 of these different playing environments (from beginners in Primary School to those young
players performing in County age group cricket). As such, we were asking those cricket coaches with the least amount of formal coach
education (4 days) to meet the varying needs (Technical, Tactical, Physical, Mental and Lifestyle) of players across the broadest range of
different participant environments. Reducing this significant challenge and encouraging coaches to develop expertise when working with
specific participation groups has been at the forefront of this evolution.
Additionally it is worth noting that:
NEW COACHING PATHWAY INFORMATION
• Over 50% of our participants in the game are children under the age of thirteen
• Over 50% of ECB Coaches Association members and coaches surveyed (n2636) are working with players in the
‘EARLY’ stage of player development
• Early experiences of sport have been shown to greatly influence an individual’s future involvement and engagement
(scUK, Coaching Children Curriculum)
• The development of fundamental movement skills early in childhood has a significant effect in the level and quality of
physical competence attained in maturity (scUK, Coaching Children Curriculum)
• Over 80% of sports coaches currently working within the UK are coaching children (scUK, Coaching Children
Curriculum)
It is clear that early experiences within cricket not only shape future participation within the game and sport generally, but they can significantly
influence the quality of technical, tactical, physical, mental and social competence and performance that is attained in later
stages of a players development; it is therefore obvious that cricket coaches working with children have a vital role to play in laying these
foundations for future involvement and performance in our sport. Existing evidence demonstrates that the current and historical statusquo
in sports coaching across the UK when working with children, is one all too often characterised by a tendency to focus on the adult
format of the game, early specialisation in one sport in pursuit of excellence and the occasional prioritisation of short-term success and
winning over the long-term development of young players. ( Continued on next page )
Committed to Opening Pathways to Cricket; From Coast to Fells, Bay to Borders"

Page 6
“Clearing the Boundary”
Continued from page 5 ..
That said, coaches working with children do need to be aware of the consensus of research in relation to child and participant
development that continually highlights the ages between 4-11 years of age as a significant period for the development of fundamental
movement and motor skills that are the foundations of athletic performance in sport
We have set out to raise the status, expertise and importance of children’s cricket coaches/ coaching with this evolution of our CCED
pathway. Over half of our playing population are children and we have always offered a pathway to our ‘better’ coaches which equips
them with the skills necessary to work with performance level/ older players. Therefore, we have probably lost some of our better
children’s coaches to other environments and implied that ‘better’ coaches work with ‘better’ players. This evolved pathway sets out to
allow all players the opportunity to access quality coaches and open up a development pathway for coaches who aspire to remain in the
children’s coaching environment.
Likewise the prioritisation of the development of the expertise, knowledge and understanding of coaches working with adolescent
(young players) and adult cricketers, who are seeking to refine and enhance an already established game built on solid foundations
(technical, tactical, physical, mental and lifestyle), is an equally driver for this evolution. The needs of cricketers in the ‘Enhanced’ stage
of player development (identified via ECB PDM) are very different to those at the initial stages of this process (‘Early’ and ‘Basic’ stages
of the PDM), as such the challenge posed to coaches working with these players is entirely different to that faced when working with
children/ players who are starting to learn and develop their game.
Ultimately, each element of the new ECB CCED structure will focus on developing players’ understanding of how to play the game.
Placing this at the heart of the coaching process will allow each course to focus on coaches’ learning about coaching. Utilising the ECB
PDM, coaches will build an understanding of how to support player-development as players grow, progress and learn in a way which is
relevant and engaging. Most importantly, player’s needs will be the central to focus of what coaches learn about. The new pathway
distinguishes between different participant domains.
Put simply, the needs of child participants, young players and adult players are different, as are the needs of performance players and
elite players.
Our work and extensive evidence shows that children, young people and adults demonstrate significantly differing needs in relation to
how they learn:-
Their Technical, Tactical, Physical, Mental and Lifestyle development and maturation
Social and emotional development
How they respond and react to different coaching behaviours (demonstrations, instructions, feedback, etc.) and different types of
practices (repeat, random and games-based) when acquiring, learning, developing and refining skills
Therefore, we recognise that coaches require different skills to meet the specific needs of players in these different domains; our coach
education qualifications, courses and resources will reflect this.
The Coach Development model is being published after Christmas, so we will bring you more on this in the next Newsletter.
WOMENS & GIRLS CRICKET
WOMEN’S CLUB CRICKET
In an attempt to kick start women’s club cricket in Cumbria, Penrith CC entered a team in the inaugural Northumberland
Women’s League Premier Division and ended the season as league champions. The Penrith girls had eight league fixtures
over the course of the season, winning all six of the games played with one being lost to the weather and one conceded
when the opposition couldn’t raise a team. It was a very successful summer for the Penrith girls with some excellent performances
during the season notably on the bowling front from Georgina Brown who took 14 wickets, Sarah Earl 8 wickets
and Matisse Iliffe 7 wickets. Batting wise the team was led from the front by captain Meghan Montgomery who scored two
centuries and one fifty in her 6 innings and was only out twice while amassing 365 runs. Other notable contributions with
the bat came from Lizzie Sykes (97 runs), Matisse Iliffe (73 runs) and Georgina Brown (62 runs).
Penrith Women’s Club Team, Northumberland Penrith Girl’s Team – Regional Winners 2011
Women’s League Premier Division Winners 2012
GIRL’S CLUB CRICKET
At present there is no formal girls club structure within the county with the only competitive opportunity coming in the form
of festival based cricket and friendly games as well as club teams in boy’s leagues. The women’s and girl’s cricket development
group are currently looking at ways to support clubs in growing girls cricket and are hopeful to have funding soon to
support coach education courses and school-club coaching programmes, in order to help clubs emulate the success of
Penrith CC who now boast a strong girls and women’s set up and in 2011 won the regional Lady Taverner’s final.
PERFORMANCE LEVEL
The winter saw a very well attended county coaching programme for over 50 girls, with over 20 hours coaching available
for each county player, as well as a new Women’s and Girl’s Emerging Player’s Programme seeing the 12 most promising
players in the county selected for an additional 40 hours of high quality coaching. This increased coaching programme was
made possible by fundraising efforts from players and parents such as bag packing and swimathons for which the girl’s
development group are very thankful.
The season itself was a frustrating one for all the county teams (u13, u15, u17 and seniors) with a large part of the year a
complete washout. When the teams did make it onto the field they showed clear signs of progress, most notably the u17
T20 festival in Shropshire where the team made their way to the final, scoring 170 in one game along the way, losing out
to Nottinghamshire in the final but playing intelligent cricket for the majority of the two days.
The u13 team finally got the better of the weather at the Malvern festival, playing some fantastic cricket on their way to 3
wins from 3 games. Notable performances included two scores of 50+ from Amy Hullock, and a 5 wicket haul for Katie
Robson; who took over 30 wickets for all teams during the season (no mean feat given the lack of cricket). Sadly the rain
followed the u19s to Worcestershire but they were able to play some cricket; losing a reduced over’s game, winning the
second comprehensively and having Bucks at 58-8 when the rain ended the season in now customary fashion.
All in all the girls have shown lots of progress in the past few seasons, and with more competitive development opportunities
are now beginning to turn potential into results on the pitch.
WOMEN’S AND GIRL’S CRICKET DEVELOPMENT GROUP
In 2010 a new group was formed with the aim of driving the girls game forward in the county. The group is made up of volunteers
and professionals from around the county with representatives from the county age group game as well as junior
and senior clubs. It is hoped the group will evolve to incorporate a club structure as well as other aspects of the game.
The group meets periodically throughout the year with anyone welcome to attend the open meetings, if you or your club
would like to receive information please contact Steve on the details below.
If you feel you could contribute to the group please let us know. We are currently seeking a chairperson amongst other
roles.
WOMEN’S AND GIRL’S CRICKET DEVELOPMENT AND PERFORMANCE MANAGER
A major priority of the group is now establishing a strong club cricket structure and a sustainable pathway from school through to elite
level. As such the group are now investing funds to allow professional support to clubs in the area, with the aim of establishing a girls
(and ultimately women's) club cricket structure. This will be done through coaching support, identifying local issues and needs, and
growing the volunteer base. Steve Benson who has headed up women’s and girls’ cricket in the county for the past 3 years on a voluntary
basis will now have time available to work with clubs in establishing needs and ways to best progress in each locality.
For more information about women’s and girl’s cricket please contact Steve Benson or one of the area reps ( see below)
Carlisle ‘Chance to Shine Indoor Competition’ - November 2012
In November, seven schools from the Carlisle District ‘Chance to Shine’ project came together at the University of Cumbria in Carlisle for
two mini-festivals of indoor cricket.
The morning saw three schools competing. There was some fantastic cricket on display and with Great Corby winning both of their round
robin matches they took a well-earned break, assured of their place in the final. This left Cummersdale and Houghton to play off to see
who would join them. Cummersdale edged out Houghton in a very entertaining match. The final was also a thoroughly entertaining affair,
after Great Corby had convincingly won the earlier match between the two teams, Cummersdale showed great character to turn the tables
and seal a hard earned victory.
The afternoon festival was equally as exciting, this time there were four schools; Blackford, Crosby-on-Eden, Kingmoor and Upperby in
attendance and each played the other three schools. Once again the batting, bowling and in particular the fielding were of a high
standard. Kingmoor and Crosby-on- Eden qualified for the final with 3 wins and 2 wins respectively. The final was anything but a cagey
affair as both teams looked to express themselves with plenty of six-hitting, flying stumps and diving stops in the field, Going into the last
over the result could have gone either way, but some powerful hitting by the final Kingmoor pair saw them to victory.
While the cricket was competitive all schools showed great ‘Spirit of Cricket’ throughout, which has been an integral part of the coaching
sessions they have received as part of the project, it was also very noticeable that the effort and standard of play by all the children improved
from one match to the next and lots of fun was had by all. Many thanks to all the teachers who brought the children along and
helped to score and umpire.
Cumberland C.C.C. Development Squad
Over the past 12 months , Cumbria Cricket Ltd have been in discussions with Cumberland County Cricket Club, primarily to bridge a
gap between our player pathway that finishes with U17 County Team and EPP , and how we align that to the Cumberland Senior squad.
A need was identified for a Development XI team that sits under the senior C.C.C.C. team. We all desire a Cumberland Team made up of
Cumbrian players. The new development will support that ambition as it exposes our young talent to more senior cricket so that they
gain experience and an insight to aspire to the performance standards required to step up the ladder to the next stage . Initially this will
involve 2 fixtures in the 2013 season and a training programme. Stephen Chambers will be the manager. Stephen is a well-respected
player, and coach (he currently coaches on County U17 squad) with a passion to provide local players with the experience and
opportunity to play to a high standard of cricket. Steven Sharp, Cumberland CCC, and County Age Group Coach, will be coordinating the
programme with CC Ltd.
Bob Simpson is excited about the partnership with the County Club, “for too long both organisations have worked separately, this programme
will build a bridge between us, and provide the opportunity to work together. The County Board and Cumbria Schools Cricket
Association have developed young players providing the opportunity to play cricket, feeding Clubs with talent. This project will allow a
formal structure to develop the pathway from County Age Group Cricket to Minor Counties and maybe First Class.”
Under 11 Team manager ~ Mally Wood
Mally teams up with Dave in his role as head coach. Mally was instrumental in starting a county under 10’s team a few years ago and
took over as under 11’s Team Manager last season. Mally has a huge amount enthusiasm for the game and was recently nominated as
years and has seen a number of players go through our county age group squads.
Head Coach ~ Dave Yates
Dave was previously team manager of the county under 10’s and took over as Under 11 Head Coach for the 2012 season. Dave has
season.
Under 12 Team manager ~ David ‘Dinger’ Bell
‘Dinger’ needs no introduction to cricket in Cumbria having been involved for over 25 years in his roles with the under 11’s, under 12’s
and under 13’s. His work and commitment to junior cricket in Cumbria can only be described as outstanding. The counties best players
over the years will have all passed through the ‘Dinger Bell Cricket Academy’. Dingers experience and knowledge of the game will again
be massive assets in preparing this years under 12 squad
Head Coach ~ Graeme Bickerstaffe
Graeme teams up with dinger as under 12 head coach. ‘Bicker’ has been involved in winter coaching programmes for a number of years
and has a vast amount of experience working with the counties best young players.
Under 13 Team Manager ~ Nigel Clubley
Nigel has been appointed as Under 13 Team manager for 2013. Nigel has worked closely with Mally Wood at Workington CC in developing
their successful junior section. Nigel has also been a key figure in the running and organisation of the Cumbria Junior Cricket league
for a number of years. Cumbria Cricket welcomes Nigel on board and wish him all the best for the 2013 season.
Head Coach ~ James Savory
James is one of our Cricket development officers and will combine the Under 13 head coach role with his other working commitments.
James has been in his role for 4 years now and has experience of coaching Eden’s Under 12 and Under 14 district squads. He has also
been actively involved with our Women’s and girls section and was Under 15 coach during the 2011 season.
Under 14 Team Manager ~ Mark Cameron
Mark takes over from Bill Barrington as Under 14 Team Manager. Mark isn’t new to the county coaching set up having been Under 13
assistant coach during the 2012 season. Mark has played a key role in the development of Penrith CC’s vibrant junior section and is
also one of our County Welfare Officers.
Head Coach ~ Marc Brown
Marc again like James Savory is one of our Cricket development Officers and teams up with Mark Cameron as Head coach. Marc has
been one of our CDO’s for over a year now and takes over from Mike Dugdale. He has worked closely with the Carlisle and South Lakeland
districts over the past few years and is currently undertaking his level 3. The Under 14 squad will again compete in the Northern
counties festival at Scarborough cricket club in August.
Under 15 Team Manager ~ Kenny Evans
Kenny again continues his role as Under 15 Team manager. Kenny has been in the position for a number of years and has seen some
outstanding players at this age group. Kenny will again be looking forward to taking his Under 15 squad to Oxford on their summer tour.
Head Coach ~ Ian Clark
Ian is one of the most respected coaches in Cumbria and has been in his role as Under 15 head coach for over 10 years now. Ian has
again worked with some outstanding players at this age group and has seen all 3 of his sons go onto play a high level of representative
cricket. Darren (Cumberland CCC), Jordan (Lancashire CCC) and Graham (Durham CCC).
Under 17 Team Manager ~ Arthur Brown
Arthur has been Under 17 Team Manager for over 20 years now and holds vital experience at this level. Arthur’s role differs slightly at
this age with the squad playing 2 day cricket. He has seen a number of players go on from this level to play a high standard of 1 st XI
cricket and some even to go on and represent Cumberland CCC or higher honours.
Head Coach ~ Alastair MacDougall
Alastair has been Under 17 Head coach for 5 years now. He combines the role alongside being one of our Cricket development officers
for the Barrow and district area. ‘Macca’ is an experienced coach at this level and this year he is also heading up our Emerging players
programme. These roles will see him work closely with Durham and Lancashire CCC.
We wish all of the above the best for the new 2013 season, and hope that success comes their way with their respective teams. We are
lucky to have these talented volunteers who commit many hours of effort into developing local Cumbrian Cricket.
