<strong>Bannockburn</strong> News win at awards<br />

emerged successful from<br />
the <strong>Community</strong> Newspaper<br />
Awards 2009, which was held<br />
at Callander Kirk Hall on Saturday<br />
19th September.<br />
Although the top prize of<br />
<strong>Community</strong> Newspaper of The<br />
Year was awarded to The Villagers,<br />
the representatives of<br />
our magazine did not leave<br />
empty handed.<br />
The Giggle of the Year award<br />
was presented to the News for<br />
the humorous advice offered<br />
by our popular agony aunt,<br />
‘Dear Daphne’ in issue 26.<br />
All at the <strong>Bannockburn</strong> News<br />
were also delighted to see local<br />
fundraisers, The Grandboys<br />
acknowledged for their<br />
ongoing hard-work within the<br />
community. They shared the<br />
Outstanding Local Group<br />
Prize Competition<br />

award after their efforts were<br />
highlighted in issue 25 of the<br />
