From the Seminary Rector
Our Lord Jesus teaches us that the Kingdom
of God begins with something as small
as a mustard seed, as insignificant as a
single net cast from the bow of a boat.
Jesus’ own ministry gives visible witness
to how his message of love, begun by
the preaching of only twelve faithful
followers, has extended to the whole
world. The mission of St. Peter’s Seminary
is to respond to the personal acceptance of
God’s call by individual people, and prepare
them for service and leadership within Christ’s Body,
the Church, to proclaim the Gospel message to their brothers and
sisters with conviction, enthusiasm and joy.
St. Peter’s Seminary does more than simply train people for “jobs”
in the Catholic Church. The core of our mission is to facilitate
among our students a deepening relationship with Jesus, so that
they can enter into the life of their local parishes, schools, hospitals
and neighbourhoods with the skills and the passion to bring the
Light of the World into every dimension of human life.
The graduates of St. Peter’s Seminary seek to make a difference,
as a small bit of yeast does when mixed with dough, through
their gift of selfless service in response to
God’s call. By joining with us, even in
a small way, you will become part
of our body who serves the larger
Body of Christ. Together we will plant
seeds of the Gospel in our world today

built St. Peter’s Seminary literally from the ground up.
Generations of supporters nourished and maintained the
