The University of Tennessee at <strong>Chattanooga</strong> appreciates your interest in the <strong>Mocs</strong> basketball program. The Sports Information Offi ce is<br />
here to serve you and hopes that these stipulations are helpful to members of the media covering the <strong>Mocs</strong> this season. The SID staff<br />
looks forward to working with you during the <strong>2007</strong>-<strong>08</strong> season. Please call if you have any questions, needs or special requests.<br />
CREDENTIALS<br />
Please contact Assistant Sports Information Director,<br />
Jim Horten, for all game-day credentials. Requests<br />
should be made in writing, and credentials will be<br />
limited to working members of the media. Credentials<br />
will be mailed in advance when possible. If not,<br />
credentials will be held at the will call table located at<br />
the Media Entrance on the east side of The McKenzie<br />
Arena. Priority seating on press row will be given to<br />
media who cover <strong>UTC</strong> on a regular basis. Credentials<br />
are nontransferable and unauthorized use is strictly<br />
prohibited.<br />
POSTGAME INTERVIEWS<br />
The <strong>UTC</strong> locker room is closed before and after each<br />
game. Following a 10-minute cooling off period,<br />
requested <strong>UTC</strong> players will be brought to the media<br />
room adjacent to the Sports Information Offi ce near<br />
the media entrance. Coach Shulman will address the<br />
media in the media room after the players’ session<br />
is completed. The visiting team’s head coach will<br />
also meet the media in the media room following the<br />
game. The respective opponent locker room situation<br />
depends on that team’s procedures.<br />

RADIO<br />
Please contact Jim Horten for credentials. The<br />
visiting radio broadcast location is on press row,<br />
just past midcourt across from the visiting team’s<br />
bench. Space for a crew of four is available to each<br />
broadcasting medium. Broadcasters in need of<br />
ordering phone lines should contact Kyle Askew of<br />
The McKenzie Arena at 423-425-4648.<br />
PHOTOGRAPHERS<br />
Photographers will be given media fl oor passes<br />
and are expected to honor all sideline and baseline<br />
access guidelines. The respective bench areas,<br />
behind the bench areas and courtside in front of the<br />
scorer’s table are OFF LIMITS to all photographers<br />
without prior permission. Strobe or fl ash photography<br />
is permitted only with permission from the <strong>UTC</strong> Sports<br />
Information Offi ce.<br />
MEDIA PARKING<br />
A limited number of media parking spaces are<br />
available. The media parking area is located in Lot 35<br />
on the south side of McKenzie Arena adjacent to the<br />
tennis complex. Access is allowed by a parking pass or<br />
a parking list which is monitored by security personnel.<br />
The list will be located at the Fourth Street entrance<br />
to the Arena, and at the entrance to Lot 35. To have<br />
a name placed on the parking list, please contact the<br />
Sports Information Office.<br />
TELEPHONES<br />
Press row is equipped with two telephones which<br />
are available on a fi rst-come, fi rst-served basis. The<br />
media lounge adjacent to the Sports Information Office<br />
is also equipped with several phone lines. Phone<br />
usage is strictly for collect, toll-free or credit card calls.<br />
Media representatives requiring phone lines at their<br />
respective seat should contact Kyle Askew in the <strong>UTC</strong><br />
Arena at 423-425-4648.<br />
FAX AND E-MAIL DISTRIBUTION SERVICE<br />
Fax and e-mail services are available following each<br />
game by the Sports Information Offi ce free of charge.<br />
Please give your fax or e-mail requests with phone<br />
numbers and/or addresses to a member of the Sports<br />
Information staff.<br />
INTERVIEW POLICIES<br />
All interview requests, coaches or players, must be<br />
coordinated through Jim Horten in the <strong>UTC</strong> Sports<br />
Information Office. Coach Shulman is available after<br />
practice. Players are available before daily meetings<br />
and after practices. Player phone numbers are not<br />
available. No gameday interviews will be permitted<br />
until after the game.<br />
PRACTICE<br />
Each <strong>Chattanooga</strong> basketball practice is CLOSED to<br />
the media and public. The media is permitted to tape<br />
the fi rst 15 minutes of the practice session, however,<br />
those interested in attending a full practice should call<br />
the Sports Information Offi ce and place a request 24<br />
hours in advance.<br />
SOUTHERN CONFERENCE MEDIA SERVICES<br />
The Southern Conference holds a weekly teleconference<br />
call featuring each head coach within the league. Each<br />
coach will answer questions on a broadcast-quality,<br />
two-way feed. Check with the Southern Conference<br />
Offi ce or the <strong>UTC</strong> Sports Information Offi ce for day,<br />
schedule and phone number of teleconference.<br />
