When asked about his opinion on the torture testimonials caught on video
and camera such as artists Ali Sobhi and singer Ramy Isam (who was
photographed with bruises covering his entire body).
Badeen replied that all videos and photographs could have been fabricated
and insisted that all accounts of torture and abuse are scant methods by
some elements trying to drive a wedge between the Military police and the
people.
On those who have gone missing since the revolution, Badeen claimed that it
is not possible for that to happen; anyone arrested is registered in the private
books of the Military Police.
Dr. Hilmy Al Gazar, member of the Shura Council of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB),
confirmed that the brotherhood is reviewing its political agenda on whether it
accepts a woman or a Copt to run for Presidency.
He affirmed that the Brotherhood wishes to establish a civilian state in Egypt and
assured that the MB will abide by whatever the people vote for.
Speaking on the constitutional referendum, he dismissed claims that all those who
voted yes are from the brotherhood and argued instead that they were a diverse
group who wanted stability.
He claimed that the Brotherhood respects and aspires for democracy.
