I would like to formally invite all of you to the 39th Annual
Western Roofing Expo. This year finds us again in Reno,
Nevada at the very enjoyable Peppermill Hotel & Casino,
centrally located in the Biggest Little City in the World! We
hope you will enjoy this fabulous AAA Four Diamond rated hotel, spa and casino and take
advantage all the amenities the hotel offers as well as the outdoor activities available to
you in and around the Reno area.

We have planned an exciting convention for you this year beginning on Sunday morning
with our always well-attended Golf and Sporting Clays tournaments. Please sign up for
one of these events. Your registration fees help support our Davis Memorial Foundation
for youth education! On Sunday evening ALL REGISTERED ATTENDEES ARE INVITED to the
President’s Welcoming Reception which has become a do-not-miss event at our convention!
Complimentary food, drinks, fun and a very lively auction that again supports the Davis
Memorial Foundation scholarship program.
Also on Sunday, we will have our first of 9 great seminars by learning about the New 2012
UBC Codes and Compliance requirements from Mr. Mark Graham. Our remaining seminars
on Monday and Tuesday range from Condensation effects with white roof systems and
OSB roof decks to Roof Maintenance discussions with Dick Baxter and Asphalt Shingle
aspects that you need to know presented by our own Technical Advisor Jim Carlson. On
Tuesday morning (beginning at 8:00 am) there is an additional 6 more Exhibitor Showcase
presentations that offer great insight into the latest developments and product usage
ideas from major manufacturers. Start your morning with some education, breakfast, and
information that may truly help you and your company’s success growth.

unmatched. As an author, and guest expert on many radio and TV programs, Mr. Moore’s
reputation for delivering unique insight into the current economic policies and how it
impacts us all is respected and well known.
Lastly, at this convention we will be saying “Goodbye” to Arlene Lawson – our guiding
light and Executive Director for over 25 years! Arlene is retiring after so many loyal years of
service to our association. Please stop by the WSRCA booth and wish Arlene the best in her
retirement!
