Truck Fleet
The company’s own modern vehicle pool includes
skip semi-trailers with rolling containers for loose
fillings having capacities of up to 20 t, trucks with
stowable forklift trucks for loading paloxes, large
containers or pallets for total weights of 25 t as well
as skip semi-trailers with 25 t containers for collecting
loose fillings from battery containers.
Recovery products
Petrol filling stations, workshops or retail markets
stack car batteries in collecting containers 1 m 3 in
size, so that they are tilt and slide proofed, thereby
preventing damaging or short-circuiting of the used
batteries. These collecting containers, the so-called
paloxes, are supplied by BLS and, when the need
arises, substituted. Alternatively, the customer’s
own containers with loose fillings are emptied into
large containers. Larger companies use 25 tonnes
containers or euro-pallets in which up to 60 batteries
may be stacked at a time.

For picking up the used batteries, the BERZELIUS
Logistik Service GmbH employs its own specialised
vehicles, chosen to suit the specific requirements of
the individual customers.

TRANSPORT
BLS transports the collected used batteries to the
recycling plants of the BERZELIUS group where these
are separated into pure fractions to be utilised
as secondary raw materials much in demand by
numerous industries, with lead being the main
product.
